Monte Rio Public Beach

"I always have a beautiful experience at this beach. Just make sure to bring chairs or something off the ground to sit on and wear water shoes. It is not a sandy beach. It is big, sharp, jagged rocks. My only complaint is that on a busy day you can smell the sunscreen in the water."

Bass fishing out the back yard was great lots of fish every day,me and Sharon went Ziplining yesterday What a Rush of excitement and fun nice place we are at the owner told us any time just call her nice No middle man rental,Will be back when salmon run up this River nice short vacation,maybe one day we wont have to leave and just call it Home Base!"

"Went later in the evening, about an hour before sunset. Didn't see any trash anywhere, wasn't crowded and access was super convenient."

"This is a very attractive place. Unfortunately, on weekdays it is almost empty. The city could create some interesting and existing activities in this area. The Russian River looks gorgeous. The bad news is that the harmful toxic algae is present in the river. Perhaps, the city could find out if this algae could be used to make the industrially important chemicals and then clean up the river. Finally, a very few primitive toilets (PORTABLE) are available on the beach. Need improvement."
