"The consulate staff was really friendly and accommodating. I needed an emergency passport and they made it happen in time for our flight. My only criticism is the security personnel, who were unnecessarily rude to everyone and were left to make clerical decisions of what is an emergency and what is not. That seemed to go to their heads somewhat."

"To make an appointment to renew my Germany passport is like a lottery. First I tried in Las Vegas, NV to get an appointment BUT I couldn't find the online page for making an appointment and you can ONLY make an appointment online. Las Vegas has TWO addresses and TWO phone numbers. I called both numbers and you only get and answer that you called another number. So you don't know if you really reached the Consulate in Las Vegas, NV or another person/company. To make an appointment in Los Angeles, CA is possible online BUT I try now for two weeks, every day to get make an appointment online. There is no free appointment available for the last two weeks. This whole process is a JOKE and has nothing to do with "German efficiency". I am sure the people are nice and friendly because it seems they not really working "hard". 1 or 2 appointments per hour? This is in Germany like vacation. The information that you need copies from any document is kind of hidden on on site but it's NOT mention on the main page for the rules to get a new passport! WHY it's not mention on the main page???"

They have been super responsive to my emails, too. The person who had my application documents was diligently going through them. I am honestly very glad for her and others' assistance and will 100% come back."
