"Lost my passport in Vegas and couldn’t catch my flight home it was nightmare and ordeal to say the least until I got to LA. I can’t remember the consulate affairs persons name in LA but she helped me a great deal and fast tracked a temporary passport and put things in place for a new 10yr passport. I was able to catch a standby flight out the next day. Keep your eyes on your passport and keep it safe!"
"Amazing experience. So helpful. They helped get an emergency overnight passport renewal. Thank you Faith especially for great customer service. Cheers, Hayden"
"Total joke! My tourist visa was approved the day before my flight, but their process is so outdated it involves going only through their Visa Application Center 3rd party company to get the actual visa stamp, which takes 8-10 days!! Seriously? It's 2023, and you can't have an electronic visa? I now have to cancel my entire trip because the stamping of the actual visa takes even longer than the application and approval! I went to the consulate in Los Angeles to beg for common sense to prevail, but wasn't even allowed upstairs. What's the point of approving my visa the day before when my flights clearly showed I was only going for 4 days? You can keep your damn visas, no thanks."
"Worst consulate I have ever dealt with. Trying to contact them is a nightmare. It's been way over the "processing time" they note on their website and no movement on the application whatsoever. The steps taken to contact them are not effective at all. Completed the webform per their website and no response Sent an email to the LA Consulate office and no response Calling doesn't work, it just gives an automated response Tried making an appointment and the appointments are only for the Canadian citizens. Question: Why are you posting incorrect processing times? How can someone contact you if there's no response to any of contact methods on your website? PS-Reddit gives better visa processing information than your website/ office"
"I just concluded a phone inquiry a few minutes ago at the consulate and talked to a very nice and professional lady named Ewa. She is knowledgeable, seems happy to help, and patient in responding to my inquiries. How I wish all customer service representatives (including call centers) are like her. The Canadian consulate website is also user-friendly so unlike the Philippine consulate in San Francisco. Kudos to the Canadian consulate in Los Angeles, California! And this is my honest and unbiased review!"
