"Hampton Inn randomly canceled my reservation after confirming it previously. Their direct booking system erroneously accepted reservations when they were full. Taking and confirming a reservation is a pretty basic principle of e-commerce and one that usually provides consumers with comfort. It will be hard to have faith that any future reservations confirmed by Hampton will actually be available when it is time to check in."

"I chose the Hampton Inn SLO for its convenience and proximity to basketball tourney my son was playing in and the many food options nearby. Unfortunately, my stay was anything but enjoyable....clientele speaking. I checked in late on Tuesday night and my originally requested room on the Hilton app (top floor, away from freeway) was not ready. Instead, I was placed on the 3rd floor, which happened to be where another team (not my son's) was staying. They were up until at least 1130-midnight, slamming doors and making plenty of noise, as teen boys do. I spoke with the daytime desk manager, Lily, the next morning about my experience the night before, who was very apologetic and comped my room. I asked if I could have my originally requested room and she happily did. As luck would not be in my favor, yet again, I drew the 'loud next door neighbor straw', who was up until 2am with TV blaring, hacking. Then woke up at 6am hacking and TV back on. Needless to say, worst experience at a Hampton...from the clientele standpoint. I decided to check out 2 days early. The desk manager, Lily, was SUPER friendly, apologized, and hoped that I had a better experience elsewhere. She is a gem at this location and should be commended to her professionalism and customer service. Well done, and thanks for trying to make the most of my experience."

"Location I thought was in a nice area close to places to eat. The hotel itself was nice overall and a very nice restaurant/bar area to hang out in. My issue was a I booked a specific room due to the location at the hotel amd recieved a notification the day of my stay they moved me. I didn't care until I seen where they moved me which was in an area that was basically a hallway closet style area away from where I wanted to be. I asked the front desk why the change and they didn't have any reason. Normally this would not be an issue but in this case the room was very old and the ac did not work. Since it had been a long day of driving I just stayed in it. Probably wouldn't stay here again while I work in the area often but if you get a better room at the hotel is not that bad location wise."

"Called 3 weeks before to book rooms. Got to the hotel and my rooms were Not Available! Finally got me some rooms but it wasn’t the ones we booked. Waste of money!! Hotel still charged me the same price even though the rooms were not comparable. Got to the rooms and NONE of the keys were working. The keys stopped working every day. Had to go down and get the keys fixed and no one was at the desk for over 15 minutes! Rooms are out dated and Ethel people at the front desk are lost."

"Erin was very nice and gave me best impression on the first night I was at the hotel. She did everything to make sure that I am comfortable with the room I am provide. Also, thank you to Florencia to always keeps Room clean and neat. Staff You're always ensure that I meet all my needs. I know it's a bit pricey, but to compromise with the comfort and happy when you spend time there. It's worth to pay!"
