"My eight year old son takes group lessons here. He previously took private lessons at two other swim schools but there were constant problems with instructor turnover and schedule changes. The facility is reasonable -- easy parking and fast access to the pool. The swimming lessons are not provided by the gym so facility access is limited. That's the reality of swimming pool and teacher access in the area though. Unless you have access to a private pool, it can be pretty hard to find a good combination of lessons and instructors. My son likes the lessons and the time we spend here is mostly in the water -- no time lost looking for parking or in the locker room."
"SafeSplash has been wonderful, they have great teachers (Benjamin is incredible) and we have had a great experience. My son was VERY scared of swimming and Benjamin was so patient and kind and within a few lessons he was asking me to go back to swim class (I never thought that would happen)!"
"My son started with the group swim lesson at SafeSplash 3 years ago. I have seen him transition from a young kid afraid of water, to a slightly older kid enjoying swimming in water. The instructors at SafeSplash are really kind and listen to the kids. I have great things to say for both Briana and Benjamin - the two instructors who worked with my son in the last 1.5 years. The other thing that I really like about this swim school is that it is fairly easy to schedule make-ups. They really take the stress out of rescheduling classes. I am happy to add that my son joined swim team this summer though he still needs work on basic strokes. I will be continuing my son's swim lessons here, and highly recommend it to everyone."
"I don't know what happened between SafeSplash and CitySports but obviously they don't go along with each other quite a bit. Background is that SafeSplash "rents" a swimming lane inside CitySports. My son forgot his kids swimming goggle in a SafeSplash class. I went back and checked at CitySports. Luckily the SafeSplash teacher was there, but I was told that SafeSplash and CitySports are in a completely separate business. They don't share the same lost and found. I was told that I had to wait for the SafeSplash owner to unlock SafeSplash's own lost and found box. Fine. I was still ok at that point. After 2 minutes, I wanted to chat with the SafeSplash teacher for a make up class for my son. I asked the receptionist "Can I chat with xxx ? ". The receptionist suddenly yelled at me "xxx is an employee of CitySports at this time, she is not an employee of SafeSplash at this moment". I was surprised. I said I just wanted to check with the teacher like in 1 min. I was yelled at again "NO, xx is an employee of CitySports. She can not talk to you NOW!". WTF DID YOU YELL AT ME FOR???"
"Safesplash at Mountain View is the first adult swimming class that successfully taught me swimming -- after my 3 failed earlier attempts when in college and with private instructors. Bao, Briana, and Michael are all very dedicated and professional. They are positive, encouraging, and meticulous. They can work across age ranges from very adults to very babies. I am confident that I will accomplish my resolution for this year, which is being able to swim free-style."
