Reviews
"Great trails with lots of wilderness and scenery. Normally well kept and easy to walk or run."
"I've run and biked this trail for years and it's a nice mix of flat and hills. Can be pretty muddy and waterlogged in areas at times. About 6.5 miles depending on any variants."
"Nice spot, easy walking. Not challenging fir hiking, and views were good but not great. Much better for walking/running or biking."
"Fun, slightly technical forest/field trail. Can be a bit confusing with other trail junctions and not always clearly marked. Bring water. Sturdy slip-resistant shoes a bonus. It's 6 miles long, so snacks are also an idea. No restrooms (obviously). You do enter an off-leash dog area. Never have I came across a hostile dog, but mentioning it for those who may have a fear of dogs."
"This is an awesome 6-mile single-track trail that is perfect for running, mountain biking, or hiking. The loop takes you around a couple of lakes and a dog park. Entrance is conveniently located by the children's playground with has access to restrooms and a bike repair station. There are some cool landmarks along the route, and some small hills. Alternate entrances to the trail are from the dog park, or through the gravel road that is off the Walnut Grove entrance near the restaurant (east end of Hyde Lake). Best time to run or hike: fall, winter and early spring (less chance of snakes, ticks and mosquitoes). Mountain biking: one direction is marked, single track. Year-round riding. Recommendations: bring a water pack or water bottle."
