Reviews
"Great place to sit and view the Mississippi river. Eat some bfast or drink coffee. Many people I saw running or walking their dogs. Even some people rented bikes and biked all the way to beale st. Fyi - windy and slightly chiller because of the river so bring a layer!"
"Martyrs Park is the perfect place to watch the sunset on the mighty Mississippi. The backdrop of the old bridge makes for a nice picture. It is between both bridges and typically not congested."
"Peaceful & great view of the mississippi River!"
"My wife and I were looking for a good place to take a picture of the Mississippi River, and our search led us to Martyrs Park. It is a good place to see the river, but there is more to the park than that. The name Martyrs Park is named for those who gave their lives to help the thousands of people who were stricken with Yellow Fever near the turn of the 20th century. I did not know how Memphis was so significantly affected by these epidemics in the past, so it was a learning experience for me. The park is beautiful and well maintained and we were glad that we took the time to visit."
"Just a beautiful part of the Mississippi bluffs and downtown area. Lots of nice benches, well placed crosswalk, stunning views, parking. A solemn, peaceful area punctured by its historical past and backdropped against the growing condos and homes in downtown Memphis. Part of Big River Crossing, where you can walk the length of the old Memphis/Arkansas bridge between Tennessee and Arkansas. Glad to see Memphis Parks creating such beautiful places."
