"So this employee, Jenna, gets a bottle of liquor from the case. Out of habit, respect and not getting a good look at him, I said "thank you sir". Jenna took serious offense to that. When I got to the register, Jenna literally left and opened up another register and didn't help me. I overheard Jenna say, "it's because he called me "sir" to his coworker. I was taken aback at the unprofessionalism and discrimination. This person was wearing a dog collar for crying out loud. Who wears that to work and who let's them get away with the way they act and portray themselves as a representative of the company? I think we've catered too long to a vocal minority who thinks everyone should bow down to their every whim. Vons is lucky that I don't bring up legal action based on the patently obvious discrimination that Jenna has exhibited because I inadvertantly called them sir. Don't go here unless you want to deal with this person."

"This Vons deserves a 4 but my checker, Jose, told me I had to place my items " his way in a rude and demanding way. Nothing was to be placed in my shopping bags, period. I am very particular in how bags should be filled. No meat with dairy, fresh fruit and vegetables are packed by themself to avoid crushing greens and bruising fruit. Bread and and bakery items should be treated delicately. So results: bagger put canned goods on top of my produce and my eggs were lucky to get home without breaking. I frequently shop and 3 other Vons North Park, Adams Ave and your wonderful store in Hillcrest. No other store has ever told me rudely, or otherwise, what Jose expected. Is this a store rule or his rule for his little Fifedom!"

"I’ve been going to this Vons for a few years now since it’s the closest to my home. It’s decent (2stars) but the customer service is terrible. The tall Caucasian cashier with pink (blue sometimes) hair is always extremely rude and always has a bad attitude. I do say always because like I said I go here (2-3x a week) to get my groceries and I always pray I don’t get this cashier during checkout. My husband goes sometimes and he shares same thoughts about the same cashier."

"Based on my experience here, this Vons isn't my favorite or first recommendation. The store was out of stock on multiple items. Only two cashiers were working and the lines for both were really long. Customer service was not too good. Would probably not return."

"Fast check out service and well stocked shelves. Ample parking and multiple entrances into the lot. Found everything I needed and more. Reasonable prices"
