"I'm a visitor to the San Diego area the past five days. This morning my friends and I visited the park and noticed a church holding services. As we walked by the group, we saw there was an armed guard standing on the edge of the group. He was dressed as a private guard and his firearm was in plain sight on his hip. I find it alarming that any group using the park would have an armed person especially with children around. If this group of worshippers are so concerned for their safety that they are the cause of a gun being at a public park, maybe they should find another place to hold their services. They have no right create a dangerous situation. I will not be visiting this park again."
"It has taken me months to finally write this review, but i feel like the public should know what kind of people and dogs go to this park. My dog was chased down and attacked by a large dog with an irresponsible and distracted dog owner back in April. My dog needed staples in his chest and hip at the ER vet from the attack and I was also bit during the incident, but luckily only walked away with severe bruising on my arms since I was wearing a puffy coat. The dog’s owner who was distracted on his phone and talking to other people at the park (not watching his reactive dog), took no responsibility after it happened and he even tried to leave the park without checking on me or my dog who was visibly bleeding at the time. I had to confront him before he tried to leave the park and he never apologized and told me my dog was “fine”. I used to go here all the time, but I no longer do because there are lots of untrained and highly reactive dogs that play here. Beware if you come here and be careful to watch out for careless owners with untrained dogs! I would never wish this experience on anyone."
"Really large dog park for all size dogs. There is no separation of size or weight. There are a bunch of benches and chairs here, mostly placed under the trees to catch shade. The center of the park is all dirt, no shade or trees, and the outskirts of the park (with trees) have weeds underneath. Overall, still an alright park because it's huge and plenty of room for any size dog. There is also a cement building bathroom for humans directly outside the back of the dog park! Super awesome."
"I've been taking my dog here for years. It is a large dirt park that is completely fenced in. There are double gates for entrances on either side of the park. There is a drinking fountain, jug refill spigot, and bathrooms. The dog park has many metal bowls and jugs of water. There are benches and plastic chairs for sitting and some trees for shade. The dog park is just one area, there is no separation of small and large dogs. I've always gone when it's quiet and there are only a few dogs there. I've never had any issues with dogs, but again I go when it's quiet. Like all dog parks, it'll depend on the owners who are there as to whether they and their dogs are ready and safe for a dog park."
"Perfect playground for dogs to play and socialize. The entrance is double-gated, so you enter/exit by opening then closing one gate at a time to prevent dogs from running out of fenced Park. Nothing fancy just a dirt area that is completely encircled with a chain link fence to keep all the dogs from running off too far. I believe the park is open 24/7 but not sure. There are chairs and benches for owners to sit and watch their dogs play. The park is big enough for even large to dogs to run at full speed. Lots if dog bowls around and a water faucet near restrooms to keep the jowls full of water."
