Reviews
"Hilbert Museum of Chapman University has an outstanding museum featuring art by California artists. It's big enough to please everyone. And small enough so you're not overwhelmed. Perfect for an afternoon outing before dinner at an Orange County restaurant. Admission is free with advance reservations."
"What a beautiful museum! Loved the vibrant California artwork. I would say it takes about 2.5-3 hours to go through everything, if you read about each painting. I appreciated that most paintings had write-ups and quotes so you could especially appreciate the art and its context. I particularly enjoyed the art by Millard Owen Sheets, Mary Blair (Disney illustrator), the vintage radios, California artwork, and Norman Rockwell collection."
"Excellent art collection locally in Orange County. Had great time and will sure come again."
"I saw on Instagram that this museum had reopened with more galleries. Stopped by to check it out and grab lunch in old timey Orange. Cool collection of Southern California themed Art with a permanent collection and rotating exhibits. Def a regional museum but it's free and the works are diverse and interesting. Worth stopping by and grabbing a bite down the street in the old town square area."
"Volunteers were very nice. Came here for the Disney 100 exhibit. There was like 7 pictures. I assumed this place was large but oh so tiny. Wasn't worth our time driving there."
