"Great selection of Asian groceries. Korean and Japanese mostly. Good veggies, mushrooms, meat, fish and seafood. There is lot of frozen food like dumplings. There is a nice bakery and ready made to go meals. Sushi, Korean soups, noodles, fried meats, kimchi etc. draft rice wine is also available, sometimes it is on sale. Check out the area next to the door. Also there are various utensils and Korean beauty items, including aloe Vera cream, facial masks and creams."
"Great Korean grocery store addition in Fremont! The yellow onions are really cheap. I like that the ginger and carrots can be bought singular (not in a pack). They have interesting ice cream and typical Korean stuff. No chicken thighs though. We got the thick pork belly for home kbbq and it was the perfect thickness. Brisket meat was a little too small though. Overall it’s still a small grocery store so you can’t get 100% of your shopping done here; it’s not like ranch 99, but they have some cool things. The ready to eat hot food section has some things. I have only tried the tteoboki but unfortunately it was mushy since it probably has been sitting there warmed for some time."
"I don't usually write reviews but I felt compelled to share my experience to bring awareness to those that plan on shopping here. Mega Mart is the only Korean grocery store that doesn't bag customer's groceries all while the workers are just standing around talking to each other. In addition, the quality of their meat is super bad and you can't tell from the way they package it until it is open (see attached photo). Where is the rest of the meat? It looks like someone cut a huge chunk and packaged 1/4th of the meat. And, look at all the fat! The fatty pieces were at the bottom of the packaging so you can't tell. Shady! I would avoid going to this place at all cost and drive a little farther south and go to the Korean Markets in the San Jose."
"3.5 stars.....This asian grocery store is different. There's a bakery, but I think it's more of a gimmick because a thin slice of cake is kinda pricey. Almost $10 for a slice of tiramusu, and the cupcake prices, questionable. We did pick up a cheese tonkatsu bowl (ok, cheese was too salty) for $12 and a sushi platter for $20, it had 2 half rolls & 6 pcs of nigiri. I thought it was a fair price for the about of sushi. It also tasted good! There's no utensils, napkins, chop sticks, extra wasabi or soy sauce anywhere in the deli. I asked, the cashier pulled out a basket of forks & spoons. Okay? None of the other items. We also got a few drinks, there were some SF options. There a refrigerated soju section, so many choices. We spent $87 for our first time here. That was a bit much. Do go on here hungry. Haha"
"This is small compared to other Korean markets I have been to. It's nice and clean though. Cute stuff in the bakery section. Got some ready to eat sushi and other hot food. Produce doesn't look very fresh in general."
