"Other than the Immigrant House, and the community learning garden, there is not much here. It's a quiet place to walk or sit, but I do think the City missed an opportunity to not do more with the space - children's play structure, better picnic setup, pickleball courts, something ..."
"A lot of things packed into Heritage Park and a very pleasant refuge on a busy a Rengstorff Ave. The immigrant house and other historical references from the old Mountain View paired with a vegetable garden and mini arboretum is a great diversity of experiences for this plot of land. Land was donated by the owner to the city some years back! Good to have the park instead of another low rise residential complex here!"
"Lovely space to stroll about and watch the squirrels chase each other. I like to visit the bees the the back left corner enclosure and then walk to admire the gardens (a volunteer group runs it). The main trees and shrubs have identifier signs (for the curious) and there are large informational placards. A water fountain plus one for the dogs, a picnic bench, plus many sitting benches around. "This is a bucolic little park! I enjoy meeting my wife for brown bag lunch there, since it's between where we work. It's a nice, cool, shady place to eat. The only complaint is that there aren't enough picnic tables. This is a new park. When the word gets out about the great, new, cool, shady place to have lunch. Many will flock there, and there's only ONE table to eat at."
"Nice park - unlike a lot of parks with big grassy fields, this one has plenty of shade and benches to sit and rest, though the noise from nearby traffic can get loud. Great community garden called Soil and Water, along with a handful of beehives. Also home to "Immigrant House", showing what a 1920's house for migrant workers lived."
