Dover Park

"Very active with families with children. It's an intensely used park. But Oakland could do a better job of cleaning the equipment. Actually it doesn't look like they clean the playground equipment at all. Needs a power wash and at least spot resurfacing of the matting . Some children were having a delightful time picking and eating tomatoes in the community garden"

"Dover is great! Features a play structure, a dirt play spot, lots of grass for splaying out, a lovely community garden (tended to by very sweet volunteers) and walk path. There are also tons of donated/left large toys. My kid loves it but I could see how someone wouldn't like all the toys left behind. The padded ground is degrading in some areas like around the swings, but it doesn't present a big issue. One of our favorite parks!"

"This park is really nice. Wonderful grassy space and the local families make it into great friendly place for kids to enjoy the play area with many extra toys. It's a shame that people camp in this park over night, although they are tucked in the back and vacate by the morning."

"Cute little park, but it definitely needs an upgrade and the garden seems abandoned. The homeless living in the park were friendly but it still felt a little strange."

"This park has potential but it's seen better days. Play area is weather beaten and there was/is an attempt for some sort of garden and bee area but I don't think it's cared for anymore. Large field in middle with walkway around but there are homeless tents in the back corner which doesn't mix well with kids."
