"Good park thats been around since my childhood at least im 46 now so i guess when i was a kid playing here it was back in the 80's japanese tea garden is very nice and the got that tai chi stuff going on there too i recommend this park because its always nicely kept up and the kids have a blast"
"Lil court w/ 2 hoops. It doesn't see full runs but people shoot around and play 21"
"A mediocre moderately dirty park with a playground. Although better than most of the parks and playgrounds in this neighborhood, poplar leaves a bit to be desired as a place for kids to play. It is fenced off and separated into a grass field and a community center with a small play area and swings. The grass is reasonably well maintained and suitable for running around. The play area is small but nice with a bouncy ground cover for little explorers who still fall on occasion. The play area and park had a fair amount of trash and the neighborhood has a lot of traffic and people wandering around being fairly noisy."
"Grew up playing at this park. In the 1990's there were several outdoor basketball courts where the indoor gym is now and professional athletes such as NBA Greats Paul Silas, Bill Russle, Antonio Davis, and Dame Lillard played here in their childhoods. NFL running back Marshawn Lynch also frequented Popular park as a child. For most of the parks history it has been known for very high level competative pickup games but as the overall neighborhood gentrification increases so does the parks atmosphere."
