"On my recent initial visit with her, Dr. Lohrey listened to my concerns that no other doctor would even discuss. Better, she actually shared her own experience with the same issue and provided an actionable plan for tackling the problem that worked for her. I prefer to try all possible avenues that rely on my own body’s ability to regulate itself based on my own actions over the use of prescription drugs, which often have problematic side effects for me. Though I was offered the option of a prescription, I was fully encouraged and supported in my choice to try the action plan that involved only lifestyle changes before considering a prescription drug. Dr. Lohrey‘s compassionate listening made me feel heard on this two-decades long problem for the very first time. Our discussion also assured me that Dr. Lohrey recognizes that medical research results provide a norm of what can most typically be expected to be seen in specific medical conditions and specific drug side effects but that norm does not inform the care or lived experiences of those who don’t fall within the ‘bell curve’ (my phrase) of medical research results."

"They have no loyalty to patients. I drove quite a ways to this office for over 7 years. I missed one appointment in those 7 years (and paid the cancellation fee). I had an appointment booked that I had scheduled FOUR MONTHS prior. When I received the text reminder, two days prior to the appointment, I immediately called to try and reschedule as I could not miss work. I am a single mom who cannot afford to miss work or lose my job. They had absolutely no empathy and stated I had to come at another time on that day or I would be charged $50. I was not trying to cancel - I just needed to reschedule. I live on a strict budget and simply did not have the $50. They called on a Friday around 11am stating that I had until the end of business to pay the fee. They then called back around 4pm stating that they had sent the $50 to collections and I was no longer a patient. You would think after 7 years you wouldn't be treated this way. I loved seeing my favorite nurse and I will miss her but their policies are ridiculous. Would not recommend. Only giving 1 star because I have to."
