"If you are considering this company to do your stair railings, please reconsider and at least look at my pictures. After having spent more money to repair and seeking advice from manufacturers of cable railing, I am finding that there seemed to be many shortcuts taken with our stair railing. Isaac is who I dealt with as the salesman and installer. There were many issues but one of the worst was the three bases of the 2nd floor railing were not completely on the 2nd floor! Half the base was on the 2nd floor hallway and half the base was hanging off the edge. This was after a second attempt at an install of the stair railings. Unfortunately we didn't notice this and had given the final check. Other things that we didn’t notice were that the bolts were not flush to the base. They were drilled in crooked. Also the bases ranged from having 6 bolts to only 2 bolts (the 2nd floor hallway bases because they were hanging off the edge with no platform for the bolts to screw into). Cables are not taut and some slack more than others. As soon as we noticed, I put a stop on the final check. Without putting the stop, I didn’t think we would have any leverage and at this point my trust in Isaac was severely broken. I immediately told Isaac about the stop check so he wouldn’t incur a fee by trying to cash it. When we spoke, we went in circles about whether or not the 2nd floor bases are okay or not. His argument is that the railing is secure and that is all he is responsible for and having all the bases completely drilled onto the 2nd floor platform is just a preference. However, I was never asked if that was okay as a preference. Honestly in my opinion, I believe that this happened because our middle railing was not measured correctly to begin with which caused the bases to hang off the edge. I asked him to come out again when the flooring contractor was also here so they can discuss. Instead, Isaac came to my house at 8:30 pm unannounced that evening after the phone call to confront me when I specifically asked him to come the next day with the flooring contractor. We went in circles again. Isaac’s argument is that he did his job by securing the railing solidly enough and anything beyond that is a preference. I have never seen a stair railing anywhere where the bases were not completely secured to the floor. I don’t think anyone who sees three posts hanging off a 2nd floor edge would consider it safe. Eventually my flooring contractor came in the evening (in the middle of his dinner) to my house to speak to Isaac. There was agreement on fixes. The 2nd floor bases couldn’t be completely placed on the hallway floor so they are still hanging halfway off. I believe, there was no way to fix that unless another railing was fabricated with proper measurements. Isaac did complete the other fixes that the flooring contractor asked for to at least minimize the issues with completing the flooring. Final check was given. The flooring contractor didn’t notice until later that one of the cables was spaced such that it digs into the new stair flooring. Note that Isaac’s manufacturer fabricated a new railing but once again neither Isaac or his manufacturer checked for quality control. We both asked Isaac to come back. He did come back but took one look, turned around, and told me to have the flooring guys fix it. And he left - seemingly content to leave knowing that there is nothing the floor people could do and I am left with an eyesore. Maybe my standards are different but check out my photos and see if your standards align with mine."
