"UPDATED 12/2023: I recently had to return my .93 ct diamond studs, not because I was unhappy with the quality but because the large jewelry box I purchased ruined all my other jewelry, specifically my 2 Tiffany’s pendants. They turned black and the tarnish won’t come off with Shane Co.‘a cleaning solution, the cloth, nothing. When I called to tell them there might be a defect, Hayden advised me of a final sale policy and that I wouldn’t get my money back. Then she asked me the quality of the jewelry affected. I reiterated it was Tiffany’s, and asked her if she was implying my Tiffany’s jewelry was fake. She replied “Well…I don’t know.” TWICE. So I asked for a manager, and Kierra took the call and stood firm on me misunderstanding Hayden’s response and that she was only asking if it was 14k, white gold, etc. There was nothing to interpret. Hayden simply questioned the authenticity of my other jewelry, but real or not, anything I put inside of any jewelry box, especially a $100+ one should NOT be affected. Anyways, I was at their location within the hour returning my $2,460 purchase. I have a choice as a consumer to pick where I want to spend my money. One inexperienced or uncaring individual that allows me to just return an entire purchase of 2,400 rather than mitigating a problem using critical thinking skills, costs one location $30k a year in profits on the low end, on an annual basis. Shane Co has at least 22 locations. That’s $660k a year for letting a small customer like me go. Again on the low end. So unfortunately as a privately owned company, Mr. Tom Shane and his son Rordan are losing money on their bottom line employing incompetent people to run their facilities."
