"My dachshund mix, Charlie had ate some gum with Xylitol in it last night and I brought him here. I was able to get into a room immediately and everybody was super nice and caring to me and him. He had only ate one piece so he was ok but they were very thorough in making sure they did everything they could to make sure he was ok to go home. Hopefully I won’t have anymore emergencies but if I do, I wouldn’t take my dogs anywhere else but here."
"My Dalmatian started having cluster seizures out of no where on a sunday. I only had a small budget due to it being the end of the week. This clinic worked with me and designed a care plan to get my dog thru the night until i could get to my primary vet. They worked within my budget and did everything they could to help me and my dog. The vet was very open and honest and kind. She laid out a treatment plan and we talked about where my money would best be spent for the situation at hand. Highly recommend this clinic if you’re experiencing an emergency."
"My Pit Terrier ate an edible and after calling the poison control center we took our baby here. I was impressed from the moment we walked in. It had a very pleasant odor and they had a little area set up with drinks and snacks for waiting pet owners. Little detail, but important to me because it shows someone cares about more than the bottom line. We were seen quickly. The techs and the doctor we friendly, compassionate, and professional. I will be posting about this place on all my social media accounts because finding a pet emergency clinic can be stressful and I would hate for people to miss this amazing place!"
"I know not everyone will be happy with costs. The reality is that for those of us outside of Knox, there are almost no vets that can or will help in an emergency. Most are overbooked and sadly, when our pets are in trouble after hour or weekends, we have to drive way too far to get help. This vet stays open after hours until morning light and on weekends. Vets and techs have to be there for long hours away from family and pay for their own needs and schooling, vet supplies and more. They are waiting for YOUR needs and their service is desperately needed and appreciated. It can't be free. Keep one credit card aside just for emergencies like this if you can. Our pets depend on us. I was there less than a month ago with my cat who ripped open an abcess on his neck. I will spare the details but he became very ill, lethargic and the open wound was something no pet lover ever wants to see again. He was rushed there 12:30am and Dr Fowler took him right in. She got him shaved, cleaned up, antiobiotics and pain medication. He was like himself the next morning and it was all because she cared enough to be there for us. Also, a big thanks to the kind gentleman behind the counter, I believe his name is Charles...a lovely young man. Dr Fowler kept me fully informed on progress and options to keep costs in check and she was an absolute gem. The total cost was less than expected. I can't speak for everyone. I just know I was treated very well, my cat was saved and I'm glad this was the clinic that Noodle was taken to. He's still a happy old man weeks later. Thank you all so much. P.S. Advocate to get us a pet emergency clinic in Sevier County. 14+ million visitors and 100k+ residents NEED resources. Come to the mountains!"
"My visit at this clinic was excellent. My little very geriatric girl had symptoms of a urinary tract infection and there were no vet offices open on a Saturday afternoon in my area. I was delighted when I found this clinic and the 2 hour trip was worth the ride. I was greeted quickly and politely. It was a very busy day for the staff and my wait was long but it was totally worth it. The staff were friendly, well informed, professional and very kind to my dog, Shadow. A comprehensive exam was done, as was a history and physical. Her urine was tested and diagnosis confirmed. We went home with the needed antibiotic, instructions for use and informed that I could return, at no additional cost, if her symptoms did not clear. All results were sent to me and to my own vet. This was a very compassionate, efficient and professional staff and a positive experience for myself and my little girl. Shadow is a much happier, healthier pup today. Thank you, staff of KPEC!!!"
