"Despite the reviews, I decided to give it a try. I have limited options with Medi-Cal insurance, but I’m happy with what I received. I haven’t been to the dentist in almost 8 years since my childhood dentist retired. My first interaction with the front desk was wonderful, as well as the doctor and hygienist. The doctor was very clear and kind with me. She kept a good conversation and I enjoyed my experience all together. I will definitely be coming back here for my next cleaning!"
"Do not go here. They quite frankly are the worst dentist office I've ever been to. Their facilities look like they've never been cleaned, dinged yellow floors, never answer their phone, don't stick to their posted office hours, and I've had multiple issues with dental work that I've had done here. Take your business somewhere that appreciates it. Update: switched to a different dentist....he told me that every cavity this office filled was done WRONG. Which is why not one, not two, but three of their filling have come out. I say again DO NOT go here."
"UnFortunately due to an injury I had at work, I had to for the first time get on medical. These people catter to medical patiants, and the receptionist has a IM BETTER THAN YOU ATTITUDE. After waiting a month for my appointment, she called me to cancel to wait another 3 weeks. Unheard of when I had private insurance. PLEASE GO SOMEWERE ELSE"
"I read Ms Vodenik's review and I think she is a patient of a different Dental group Not us. We do not have your name in our system so if you could call our office to verify and we may be able to correct the situation if it is indeed our office."
"I took my grandson to Alamo Dental. The dentist was wonderful with him, and I have no complaints regarding the dental care given. I do however have a major complaint regarding their billing department. To call them horrible is an understatement. Before they treated Joseph, they did a preauthorization for the insurance, and at each of my grandson's two visits, I paid the amount not covered by my insurance. When I received my statement from the dental insurance company, I found that Alamo Dental had billed my grandson's treatment against me as the patient. I brought this to the attention of the book keeper at Alamo Dental and asked that the billing be corrected. 2 months later I received a bill stating that I had on OVERDUE balance of several hundred dollars from Alamo Dental. When I asked "if the treatments have been preapproved and I have paid the outstanding ballance at the time of the appointment how can I possibly still have an overdue ballance if no additional treatments were required?". The response I received from their book keeper was "there was always a chance that additional charges could show up after the insurance company was billed." This is something that I've never before encountered with any dental office, and for myself I consider that unacceptable. Much of the "overdue charges" were charges for Joseph's treatment that were still being billed against me as the patient. Gee, they won't put fillings or sealants on teeth that have been crowned! After 4 different trips into the office, 3 additional statements from the insurance company stating that Alamo's charges were being billed against myself as a patient. The errors of Alamo's accounting office had quite a sum of my dental benefits tied up causing me to pay upfront fees when I went to my dentist. After repeated visits and several phone calls to correct the problem, the fees from 2 appointments in May were finally correctly billed to the insurance in October. Needless to say, although we have no complaints regarding their dental care, I've found another dentist for our 2 grandchildren."
