Rutherford Academy

Rutherford Academy is a private non-profit school located at 2320 Southgate Boulevard in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. We have been serving the special needs children and youth of the Murfreesboro and Middle Tennessee community for over 17 years. Our school offers therapeutic special education day programs for students from 1st through 12th grade who have been identified with emotional and psychiatric disorders, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, dual-diagnosis, and/or developmental delays.

As an approved school by the Tennessee Department of Education, our students have the opportunity to earn high school credits and may be awarded an academic or exceptional education diploma at graduation. Our dedicated staff provides a wide range of academic, life skills, and therapeutic services to help each student reach their full potential.

At Rutherford Academy, we create individualized educational plans for each student, focusing on their specific needs and strengths. We work closely with our students and their families to ensure a positive and adaptive learning environment. Our goal is to help every child experience personal growth and improvement during their time at our school.

Please note that Rutherford Academy only accepts students referred by the county public and charter school systems within Middle Tennessee. We do not offer private tuition services.
