"A nurse at Tennessee State University referred me to Dr. Hayslett because my situation needed a specialist. Well, I absolutely love Dr. Hayslett. Wouldn’t go anywhere else, she is down to earth, direct and not quick to give you medicine. She offered temporary relief while focusing on a more holistic solution. I am so proud to be a patient of a female African American doctor."
"First i knew nothing about this dr. My ORIGINAL dr is dr meadows whuch they work in the same office together. She delivered my twins 6-18-15 csection. It was horrible. My mother always told me to always keep the same dr cause they know your body. Well she defiantly disnt know mine. The moment i hit the delivery table i felt something wrong and it did VERY WRONG!!!!!! I wont put details in this comment because i dont have facts yet. But i do know this please research on any professional that will be operating on your body please and i normally do but this it wasnt in my control my babiea had to be delivered. I WILL NEVER EVERY RECOMMEND HER TO ANYONE EVER #messedupmylife"
"I love Dr. Hayslett. I think most people's complaints come from the other people who work there in the front and the lady that draws blood. She is friendly and welcomes questions. It can feel a little rushed at times but this is what is expected at hospitals. Before I got pregnant I understood if I wanted a more personal experience to either find a birthing center or midwife/doula."
"Dr Hayslett was an awesome Obgyn! She was always super friendly during my check ups. I was in labor for nearly 24 hours and she was very patient yet direct with letting me know what was going on. She delivered my son and I will always be grateful. I would recommend her to any of my friends!"
"I went to see Dr Hayslett for an annual exam. I asked about additional testing while I was there. I'm on a high deductible plan, so I asked about pricing of the tests. I was told that it would be billed as part of my annual exam and shouldn't worry about it. Fast forward to today, 2 weeks later, I get my paper work from my insurance stating that I have a personal obligation of almost $500. I called Dr Hayslett's office and had the phone passed 4 times and was finally hung up on. No one there cared about my situation. I feel that I was lied to by the Dr. I should not leave a Dr's office and feel that I was lied to. I bring my issues and problems to them in hopes of getting an answer. Today on the phone I was told she didn't know the costs of test, so I suggested she learn so that she can inform her so called patients when they asked. I was told by her staff that "No she should not." At my job if I don't know the answer the correct answer is "hold on let me go find out." Also if I was to hang up on a customer, especially an upset one, I would be written up or fired. This is poor customer service. I arrived exactly on time for my appointment, and I FINALLY saw the dr an hour and a half later. When I finally saw her I was trying to discuss family medical history with her since this my first time in her office, she seemed uninterested. She also seemed to little time for any questions that I might have which is a HUGE difference from my previous doctor. I saw SEVERAL patients come and go in the time that was waiting for my turn. It was like they were being herded. I should have seen these things as a sign, why should I be surprised at how this situation was handled. This whole problem could have been solved before it started if I was given a price range for the testing if the insurance didn't cover it. I would have told them not to worry about it I would come back. But no, It's not the doctor's responsibility to know that kind of information to inform her "patients." If you want to be treated like a number and not a human, go for it, go see Dr. Hayslett. If you want someone who cares and will sit down and give you the time of day, i can tell you 110% that there is one in Nashville keep looking. If only she accepted my new insurance."
