"One of the best (if not the best) barbershop in the city (downtown). While each barber is the best, Notch (Owner and operator) is by far the greatest. I am literally writing this after seeing him about 1 hr ago. Off of a picture, he'll give you exactly what you want every time (I wanted a cut like Zayn Malik, and thats what he gave me to the 't'.) He takes his time and really does a phenomenal job. I'd be appalled if you didn't tip him every time you go, he's that good! He's cool to chat with bout anything while you're getting a cut, plus, he's got a game or some interesting Netflix thing on in the background. There's also always some lively conversation happening. THIS is the place to go for your next fade, cut, crop, whatever you want. Go with my man Notch for your cut!"

"If you’re looking for a great barber experience in San Francisco, “Details Barbershop and Grooming” is exactly why you’re looking for. As a black man, its a struggle to find a good and consistent barber, but I found just that. Master Barber and Owner of Details Barbershop and Grooming, Notch, is professional, prompt, and most importantly, a great barber. Located at 555 Sutter Street, 3rd Floor, is where you’ll find it. Inside of the shop is exactly what you expect; comfortable seating, multiple barber chairs, shop inspired products (shampoo / conditioner / pomade), sports playing on the television, reasonable prices, and quality conversation. Details takes both walk-ins and appointments. I would highly recommend setting an appointment because with any barbershop, without one, you could be waiting a while. There is a steady of rotation of four (4) barbers in the shop who are all talented, but you can’t go wrong with Notch. No matter your hair type or preference, he can get the job done. Great barbershop in SF!"

"Always hard to find a new barber when move to a new place. Luckily one of my coworkers recommended Notch! Definitely the best barber in the bay. I recommend doing a reservation online before going because they can get busy."
