"First time here. After explaining the trim I wanted and saying “too short is my nightmare,” the master barber I booked got started. I thought we were on the same page until he turned my chair around so I could see the back in the mirror. Definitely my nightmare as my hair is the shortest it’s ever been. I was assured by the barber that I wouldn’t lose too much length, and yet here I am. He could have salvaged things *slightly* by debulking my longer hair on top, which he offered to do, but I started the appointment saying only sides and back. I couldn’t justify going against an explicit request to fix the rest of the cut which already had gone against my explicit requests. I figured I should just stop the bleeding as I wasn’t willing to risk it going any more wrong. The back of my head looks pretty ridiculous. One star for him being kind and considerate and the other because he declined a tip as he knew I was unhappy with the result."
