"The worst experience was related to billing - if you travel in business avoid this place. Hand written bill and then something printed with code names and credit card charged with different amounts. Most likely it is lack of focus but not very professional and food was just ok."

"The prices have gone up and the portions have gone down. It’s almost $19 for the carnitas plate and my food only takes up half the plate… carnitas are crispy, but greasy, the rice is lackluster… the chips and salsa are good and the service seems to be pleasant…"

"If you’re looking for classic Mexican food— then Angelo’s is your place! Located in the cute and quaint area of Downtown Lodi, it is a decent sized restaurant with access to street and garage parking, and a traditional atmosphere. The freshly made salsa has a great flavor! I wish they would include some homemade chips with the standard chips, but, I know that’s asking for a lot… The flavor of their food is very good— the carnitas are crispy and wonderful. The enchilada gravy is complex and delicious. The servers are always very attentive, the pricing is fair, and it’s a great place to get a bite before a movie. I also like their Pork Soup. Give it a try!"

"Beautiful interior, nice ambiance, great food. We had lunch here on a winter mid-afternoon. Where Angelo's Mexican Restaurant misses is the service. There was a lady who initially brought out our drinks -- she was A+, but then we found our main server, a man, was responsible for the refills and entree orders. He didn't check up on us or refill drinks."
