"Was there this morning, it was very quiet and an employee told me they’ve had “lot’s of cancelation’s” - Sadly this location needs to be closed due to Health and Environmental Health issues! Extremely dirty floors, counter tops, brushes, sinks, bathroom out of order and employees said they have to go to LALA land to use theirs and it’s been like that for weeks. Open boxes stacked in every corner, disarray everywhere. Apparently they have No Manager currently and the off site District Manager does not respond or is on Medical Leave. Very Poorly run operation! Montana Ave deserves better. Buyer beware."
"BUYER BEWARE: do no get the barfly membership! They will not honor your membership cancellation and continue to charge you. Lemme preface by saying I loved coming here up until this encounter, and was a loyal customer that came in 1-2x a month for the last year. Back in June, I decided to cancel my membership as I work to fix the damaged my hair. I went through all the steps listed online to cancel, but they continued to charge my card each month. After the first illegitimate charge in July, I called them to settle the mix up and was told my membership was canceled and the manager would have to refund my card and she would be reaching out to me. I was also told I’ll be getting a email confirmation of my cancellation and refunds. Neither of those things happened. They continue to charge my card for august and September, and the manager has never been in contact despite me confirming my contact info numerous times. Everytime I call, I’m told the manager isn’t there and they’ll have her call me. Or that they’ll email me with the info, only to never get an email from them. They have yet to remove my card info from their database, and have wrongfully charged me hundreds of dollars after a written request by me to cancel those services within their 72 hour timeframe. If you need a blowout, got to your local salon instead. They will damage your hair less and won’t use fraudulent business practices."
"I came here to get my hair done for my bridal shower. I arrived 5 (!!!!! I’m not exaggerating) minutes late and they refused to take me. I politely expressed that there’s no way I can get my hair done as this was right before the event and said that it’s ok if they don’t do a full service. They still refused, and were rude about it too. Extremely cruel."
"We arrived right on time, however we had to wait 30 minutes even though I confirmed our appt time with receptionist twice while we waited! She was allowing others to go before us. When I inquired, they said customers were requesting certain stylists even thought our appointment was before theirs. Receptionist didn't seem to care. Just wished they would have honored out appointment time."
"I have been here a few times and is always upbeat and fun, located across the street from a Whole Foods and nextdoor to a beauty supply shop (fun!) This location does get very busy and crowded though. I have been there on days where it is so loud you can barely hear and the appointments are all running late (DryBar outsources its communications so they are unable to call or email you if they are late. For this reason, NEVER book an important hair appointment right before an event on a weekend. If they are 20 minutes late they will not let you know until you are in the store!) I was most recently at this DryBar yesterday on a Wednesday morning at 10AM and all of the sinks filled even though it was nearly empty when I arrived. Pros: Fun and chic location with upscale clientele (one customer was wearing the most amazing pink and white ensemble I've ever seen!) Cons: Busy."
