"Make sure you get a receipt! Dropped off a shoe for a simple repair was told the price and cash only. Paid the cash, took my claim check, and left the shoe. A few days later stopped in to pick up the shoe, handed him the claim check, and was told I had not paid. I am sure it was the same guy who was there when I dropped it off. So I ended up paying for the repair twice in order to get my shoe back. Learn from my mistake: get a receipt or better yet don't pay in advance."
