"The owner has the WORST attitude, I am surprised he's still on business. I made an appointment for a haircut and explained I was driving from Oakland (he had been recommended by an acquaintance). I left home and the navigator announced there was a crash on the Bay bridge, so I sent a text apologizing and letting him know I would arrive 13 min late. When I got there I apologized first thing and asked how he was doing, he was buffing, making faces, and telling me I could have called him. I told him I sent a text, he told me his number is a land line, STILL I said I was sorry, again, showed him the text and his attitude was still hostile and short. He was standing behind the counter and not even welcoming me to the cut area. He asked why I didn't call and I said I was driving, he said, "oh, but you could text??", yeah, I said, I dictated the message and said sent. TBH I ignore if he was going to cut my hair but with that energy, I knew I shouldn't let him close! I drove all the way from East Bay, paid for parking, etc. I heard from businesses close by that this is his MO, he has a bad attitude to everyone and no one talks to him. Unfortunate. Not only he lost those 15 min but he lost the money I would have paid for the service, the tip I would have generously offered to compensate his time, and a client. I hope he gets a business class and some anger management."

However, since I’ve been going to Pepe it’s turned out great every time where I get stares and compliments. I used to be the guy who thought my hairstyle didn’t matter too much until I got one of Pepe’s recommended hairstyles. Boy have I changed dramatically since. Even though I’ve moved away from the city, I still try to get a haircut from Pepe whenever I’m back. I haven’t been able to find another hair stylist as great as Pepe.
