"Shelly is amazing. It's hard to find hairdressers who understand vintage hairstyles, but she colored and cut my hair exactly how I've been wanting it. The salon is clean and bright and the music is great too!"
"I love this salon and my stylist. Best men's haircut. Shelly is one of the top hair stylists in San Francisco. Professional and knowledgeable. Shelly's approach to a man's haircut surpasses the best barbers."
"Shelly Ruiz is my favorite hairstylist! She is great with cutting and color men’s and women’s! Highly recommend her to anyone looking to feel happy."
"Highlights: The manicure I got was gorgeous, and it was done quick but the quality of work was excellent, the lady that did my manicure was attentive and genuinely engaged in conversation with me. Why the one star review? The manner I was treated by their front desk person, her name is Sophie. I walked in asking if they could take a walk in, she asked the manicurist and agreed to take me. A lady was just right behind me checking in for her mani/pedi appointment we both were asked to take sit and wait. Sophie proceeded to approach both of us to ask for drinks, she asked the lady that arrived after me first and asked her if this was their first time here, the lady’s answer was no, then proceeded to ask what was the drink of preference, just water. Then Sophie approached me asking the same questions, I confirmed this was my first time here and drink of preference was water. Sophie returned only with one glasses of water and handed it to the lady and said let me know if you need anything else, completely ignored me like I was just a ghost sitting waiting for my manicure. The lady and I both were assigned our manicure technicians, Sophie came back with a second glass of water for the lady and again completely ignoring me, in fact Sophie ensured everyone around had drinks but me. Here is my question... What is their criteria to qualify for a simple glass of tap water?! I was nicely dress, I live in Pac Heights, and never experience this type of situation."
"I follow stylist Anthony wherever he goes, since he consistently gives me the best haircuts I've had in my life, regardless of what style I ask him to try. My hair's fine texture has confounded many a stylist and resulted in wispy and unmanageable cuts elsewhere, but Anthony knows exactly how to shape my hair so it looks great from the day of the cut all the way until next time I have an appointment, even if I schedule it late! I've been ecstatic with the results since the very first time he cut my hair a few years ago. He's a master, and a surprisingly rare find in a city like SF. He just recently moved to Salon Yuni, a bright, modern and welcoming salon just off Fillmore in Pacific Heights. The salon is lovely and comfortabl, with tons of natural light streaming in from skylights. The place is surrounded by cute boutiques and great restaurants and within walking distance of Japantown, so it's easy to plan a saturday around getting an amazing new haircut at Salon Yuni, even if you don't live in the neighborhood. Everyone who works there is friendly and accommodating and the prices of services and products were quite reasonable for a high-end place like Salon Yuni."
