"I had a surgical wound on my foot that healed 95% of the way and stopped. For more than a year I saw podiatrists and wound care specialists with next to no improvement. Finally someone decided my problem was lymphedema and referred me to Methodist Therapy Center in Oak Ridge. I had little hope of success after so long, but I went. There I met Rachel, a lymphedema therapy specialist. She was friendly and fun and explained what she intended to do with me. I went two to three times a week, and after about three weeks I saw results. It was slow progress, but wIth Rachel’s diligent work and advice my wound was declared healed by the wound care doctors after about four months. As a by-product of this therapy, I also got my lymphedema under better control and continue to do so even now, almost six months after I was discharged from care. Rarely have I been so pleased and impressed by medical care."
