"Imani may mean faith in another language. In English I would translate the word and lack of professionalism by this agency to mean" I MUST ACCEPT NO INCOME". I was hired as a salaried employee, involuntarily let go two months later. A non-professional attire "come as you are" (staff and clients) self-service Saturdays and after hours as a remote healthcare agency. I agree with reviews I read before my own that Imani support staff are wonderful people and very helpful. Too bad like me, it often appeared they, like myself, were the last to know about or updated on new work details. The communication channels appeared incredibly poor to me. My greatest grievance, beyond the lateness in my payroll , was lack of notice by the agency, the lack of client therapy welfare. In my caseload many clients told me they either could not reach staff, were charged a no call no show fee, even after messages or voicemails. Clients told me that their messages were either told had not been checked or returned by the agency. My clients then were justifiably highly frustrated and annoyed leaving me to apologize. I was separated from the agency with a form letter and a visit by the human resources manager. I was told to vacate my office and the company in one day and to not contact or see clients that day. I was told to leave, not provide any case management to my clients, it seemed to me that the human resources manager was unconcerned I convey my separation to my clients despite my request. Mental health clients I protested, do on some occasions, by individual diagnosis, possess a low self esteem. Clients' in my experience can be irrational, paranoid, and even generate more stress in their social relationships and lives when they feel abandoned suddenly without rational or reason. Then, what do I know, I have been licensed and worked in mental healthcare agencies for twenty some years as an addiction specialist, teacher and school counselor.. I wish I could tell you to have "faith" in working for and in this agency However, my faith is not "blind". My faith is no longer so "naive" and no longer silent after misplaced when I can help others to be forewarned. I now face both medical and financial hardships as I await my last payroll check, that may be three weeks late in coming to me. "Faith"? This is not it. Therapist Nashville 2023.DD."
"I had been seeing someone for a while…throughout that time, there were two separate occasions I showed up at the office for my appointment and the office was locked, and everyone was gone. Because of miscommunication on the therapists part, I tried for an entire MONTH to get in touch, calling multiple times a week, to get back on our bi-weekly meeting schedule. Empty promises of calling back before the office closed and having my therapist reach out to me, were given over and over until I finally gave up calling the office, as it was a completely was of time. If it wasn’t the empty promise or getting back to me, it was continuously leaving messages with not a single return call. Super disappointing as I had high hopes for this place."
"I went here for testing in early February, my report was ready and waiting on the head psychologist's signature since March, and I didn't get the report until early June. The report itself was terrible: it noted no suicidal ideation at the beginning of the report and then recommended therapy (conveniently also offered by Imani Behavioral Health) at the end of the report due to suicidal ideation. It also stated that I had persistent depression based on the presence of poor attention span, which is actually due to my ADHD which I already reported to them. So if you want to get a careless report four months and numerous emails later for the price of $750, go to Imani Behavioral Health. The one good person is Tamara, who was very helpful with getting me my report."
"Imani over charging my HSA and BCBS account. I was quoted one price of 68.00 however I was billed 150.00 for several dates. The company is refusing to fix the issues made by their billing department and is advising me to seek someone else for mental health services. I was promised someone would fix the issue to ensure I stayed on the schedule for the Dr. A billing person contacted me and told me they would not be correcting the mistake and I would be expecting to pay even more money upon my next visit. Basically the continued to over charge my insurance account and blamed a former employee. They took advantage of my mental health situation and sucked my insurance dry. Unfortunately when the situation was caught nobody would consider the correcting the error. Very unprofessional personnel working the locations as the turnover rate is very high. They will take advantage of you. Do not use this company for any services. I advise cornerstone or mental health co-op before this company."
"I went to the one in Nashville by the airport and let me tell you. The people here are top notch. Mrs. T was the name of the lady that spoke with me on the phone, she made the process so easy and is so easy to talk to . When I arrived I was very nervous but excited/surprised when Mrs. T came downstairs to meet me at the front door. The intake process is simple and plain to understand thanks to her and everyone in the office. Anyway off to my appointment now! I would definitely recommend this place to others."
