"My sister rented here and had no problems with Tiny Town UNTIL she received a judgment on her credit from them. They claimed that she did not clean the place and left broken blinds. This is false and would never happen. Not only did she contact them with proof of 1) having a paid cleaning service come and thoroughly clean, 2) paid for all blinds to be replaced and replaced them ourselves 3) WE DOCUMENTED EVERYTHING. WE HAVE THE PICTURES and the cleaning company is willing to testify in court. We were not in town during their unscrupulous campaign for money and to ruin my sister's name and credit due to our mother's death. But know that we are filing a request to vacate the judgement and will be counter suing for defamation. This could have been handled better by the staff when we communicated with them about our documented proof."
"I applied for this place and was upfront about previous financial struggles in my past recently and had finally gotten around to fix them. The woman who I had spoken with over the phone acted like this wouldn’t be a factor because I had resolved the issues and when I asked her if any other determining factors were in play she said no as long as I met the income requirement. When I got around to the credit portion they still didn’t act like this would be an issue. Then I call to check on the progress and a different young woman answered the phone and said that they changed their mind and that my credit wasn’t high enough which they said there limit is one person needs at least 650. Granted I was in the lower 600 end and my husband was above 650 and we do understand that credit karma is behind but we went though and checked it ourselves and it was not below 650. She was very ignorant about the situation and very smug I had even offered to get my mother as a co singer who has a significant credit score or even pay 2 months ahead to reassure them. That wasn’t enough and she said they never do things like that. But then the lady I first spoke with during this situation was all smiley like everything was fine and when I brought that to her attention about the ignorant manager and front desk person she decided to change her tune she even said before I explained what happen they do stuff like that all the time. I wasted 2 weeks on these ppl and 2 fees on credit report. I will make sure this is on every social media and platform I can find so someone makes sure they know what they are signing up for. I didn’t know people are ok with being mean to ppl like they were. It was fine we weren’t approved thanks for helping us dodge a bullet but you should never talk down to people they way you people did me."
"This place is the most unprofessional and disorganized company I have ever rented from. For starters, they believe in texting you rather than emailing or calling. Their texts always have multiple errors in them. When we first got approved they quoted us $775/month for rent. Then when we came to sign the lease they stated that our rent is $800/month. They said they made a mistake. And I told them they need to honor the original price, especially since they waited to tell us about it as we were signing the lease to move in. And I was also moving here from out of state. That was our first red flag. Then we had a TERRIBLE mouse problem when we lived here. We ended up catching over 4 mice in the six months we were there. We did a six month lease with them and typically a rental company will send out a lease expiration notice. We did not receive any notice. We went into the office about this to see if we could move out at the end of the month even though our notice wouldn't be a full 30 days, because we did not want to renew. They told us that wasn't their problem....okay. Fair enough. Then Barbara comes up front and says that she needs our unit and as long as we can move by April 22nd they will wave our 30-day notice. So we had a week to move. (Which was fine) Then we go to do our move out inspection and we asked when we would see our deposit and Brittany says "you forfeited your deposit because you didn't give your 30-day notice." My husband reminded her of the situation and she still said we forfeited our deposit. So he went to the office and Barbara also said we forfeited our deposit and it wasn't until my husband retold the whole situation and she finally looked at the notes in our file that she was aware we were supposed to receive our deposit back. We made sure to get it in writing that day to be safe. Fast forward to us moving out, we received our itemization in the mail from the office stating that we would be getting $710 on our deposit refund. Legally, your deposit check HAS to be sent out within 30 days of your move out date. It had been 30 days and we called up there and the check hadn't even been cut yet. Which is in fact illegal. They finally call for us to come pick up the check. And when we get there, they only have a check for $560. We argued with them yet again. Stating our itemization says we are to receive $710. They pulled out the itemization that they have on file and it even said we are supposed to receive $710! And what did they say? That they miscalculated and we are not getting that back. How do you mis-add $150? How is a company that disorganized? Everyone in the office is unprofessional and honestly shouldn't be in property management. I have been a property manager for 3 years in two different states, and they are showing everyone what NOT to do. Bottom line, don't rent from this company. Also...my dog growled at Brittany and my DOG has never been aggressive toward anyone whatsoever."
"I lived here for over a year and had a great experience. The office will work with you to fix any issue. All maintenance requests that I placed were addressed within the next business day. In the time that I have lived here I never once had an issue with criminal activity and I can accredit that to the management doing their due diligence to thwart it. It truly is like having a little house of your own there. You will have a front and back yard, a garage with washer and dryer, a back patio, and a personal driveway with personal mailbox. If I were staying in Tennessee I would love to stay here."
"They say they are willing to work with you but they only do a half ads job at it. Only good thing is the repair guy is reliable. I know because my water heater didnt work when I showed up. They had crappy door henges which cause my doors to snap off almost hurting my kid. And best of all my dish washer almost feel out of the hole which I had to fix. This was my first and only eviction from these guys. And I was only 2 months behind and explained how my new job is way better. Bur its ok I got a new house now and its way better"
