"Unfortunately, my experience wasn't the best. I came to this place because of the reviews, but due to "the main person being out on vacation", my experience included a lot of bad communication, semi okay service and an unexpected $1350.00 out of pocket cost. I came in due to a toothache, I needed a root canal for which I was informed that they do not do there, I was referred out, but then informed that I needed to go back for the crown. Crown takes a couple of days to arrive, therefore had to reschedule to go in (Total days of interrupted work: 4). 1. Appointment - Toothache 2. Appointment- Root canal (elsewhere) 3. Appointment- Crown measurement 4. Appointment- Crown install (this on its own was another bad experience due to the crown not fitting as it should've and the dentist getting frustrated that he had to continue adjusting it). During my first visit, I requested an estimate to redo my fillings. An estimate was provided. I asked various times if there were any risk, I was told that there weren't. Upon redoing my refill, with my mouth open and no real access to talk they informed me that they need to do additional work and if I approve for the extra charges (from 700 to about 1300). Of course I nodded my head yes and said yes in any way I could. At this time I was in a lot of pain since the anesthesia was not working, I was making faces of discomfort while they removed that same filling for which I was then informed that I will need another root canal. I was informed that they can go ahead and schedule that there. I asked the front desk clerk "I thought you guys didn't do this here?". She said that they do, that the dentist is back and that he can take care of it. I informed her that I'll be going elsewhere. She immediately said "I understand." My insurance was maxed out by this time. Therefore my unexpected Out of pocket root canal was 1350.00. Pending to still get the crown for this. I truly wish my experience was different. I truly feel that the customer service could have been a little bit better. If they knew the dentist went in too deep in the filling removal and caused for me to now need an additional root canal. I feel I should have been at least offered a discount or some kind of incentive in order to correct this. Especially since she had the record of how much I had already spent out of pocket due to these "extra" charges (1273.48). I definitely won't be going back."

"This is the last dental office you’ll ever need to visit. I was recommended to see Dr. Kevin Park by a close friend after sharing with them the tooth pain I’ve been enduring for the past year and a half. Scheduling through the website was very easy and Natalie who works at the front desk was incredibly warm and welcoming when I arrived for my appointment. You’ll notice when you first arrive that this is not your ordinary dental office. It’s remarkably minimal and modern in aesthetic which was such a refreshing AND calming take on the typical office you’re used to visiting. Yoselyn, the assistant to Dr. Park was great and performed all my new imaging without a hitch and used a lot of new technology I haven’t seen before. It’s clear that Dr. Park prioritizes and utilizes the latest methods and technologies to maintain a high level of diagnostic accuracy. Yoselyn and Dr. Park work with a great dynamic together which was very efficient and light. Dr. Park was very knowledgeable and had a wonderful bedside manner and easygoing nature to him. He immediately diagnosed that the previous dentist botched my crown setting which grew bacteria subsequently causing the aches and sensitivity. Dr. Park did an amazing job excavating the problem areas without any pain despite having to remove a fair amount of the tooth. I came back a couple weeks later to have my new ceramic crown set and now I’ve been able to chew without discomfort for the first time in almost two years. I’m incredibly grateful to Dr. Park and his amazing team for getting me in sooner than my originally scheduled appointment because they understood how much I wanted to get the new crown set. These days we’re inundated with so many options through yelp or google and it’s hard to find genuinely great service. I’m so grateful that I found DTLA Smile because they sincerely care for their patients. I can’t recommend them enough."

"It's very rare that I write a 5-star review for any place, much less for a dental office, as I reserve these only for places that truly deserve it. Like many people out there, I'm usually pretty skeptical of a place when I see that it has nothing but 5-star reviews. Make no mistake about it, though - Dr. Park and the entire DTLA Smile team are the real deal! I initially went in for a root canal, or rather, a second opinion after being told at another dental office that I needed a root canal on a molar. As someone who's had bad experience after bad experience at dental offices throughout my life, I was understandably pretty anxious before walking in. That anxiety quickly melted away, though, when I stepped into the modern waiting room and was greeted by the friendly staff who quickly put me at ease. They led me to an examination room where I was greeted by natural daylight, aromatherapy, and a dental examination chair with a screen that let me play music on Spotify! When Dr. Park began his examination, I was pleasantly shocked by how gentle he was in using his dental tools. This was the most gentle a dentist has been with my teeth in my entire life! And, of course, this didn't compromise on the thoroughness of the examination. I'm happy to be able to say that, for the first time in my life, I felt zero pain at a dental office! At the end of his examination, Dr. Park let me know what I had suspected all along - I didn't need a root canal, just a crown, and the other dental office was trying to charge me for a procedure I didn't need! As one can imagine, I greatly appreciated the honesty and him only recommending/charging me for what I truly needed. The gentleness continued throughout the crown installation process. I never thought I'd say this in my life, but I actually enjoyed a dental visit! So much so that I went back for a consultation and deep cleaning after years of avoiding the dentist for fear of the pain. I can confirm from both of these subsequent appointments that my positive experience with my crown wasn't just a fluke - Dr. Park and his team truly are just that caring and gentle, yet thorough and effective! (My deep cleaning at DTLA Smile was the most thorough cleaning I've ever had at a dental office that left my teeth the whitest they've been in years, and all without any pain!) All in all, I cannot say enough good things about DTLA Smile and cannot recommend this place enough to anyone. They're thorough, yet painless, don't compromise on quality, and Dr. Park doesn't try to sell you anything you don't need. Dr. Park and the entire team at DTLA Smile have earned every single one of these 5 stars, as well as a life-long customer who loves going to the dentist now!"

"Dr. Park is quite literally UNMATCHED, I have never had a dental experience so pleasant and it wasn’t because I wasn’t getting a lot of work done because I was but he made this the most positive experience. He’s the first dentist that gave me a comprehensive plan that I felt confident about and I was able to have all of my dental work completed within a few weeks. His technique is unlike any dentist I’ve ever been to, he made the experience comforting and I never felt anxious walking into my appts. 10/10 I would recommend him over and over. Stephanie is also amazing!!!"
