"Overpriced and terrible pickup installation work done on my guitar. Wired it up wrong and have to pay someone else to do it correctly so I'm out q good bit of money. Terrible service."

"This visit was absolutely wonderful. The sales rep's knowledge of amps was amazing. I came in looking for a great amp for my husband's Christmas present for an electric Mandolin, which they pointed me towards acoustic amps and if I did not ask, I would of bought an electric amp, which did not know that they were mostly for electric guitars."

"In this store, there is no customer service. The atmosphere seems to be "we are here to be praised by the customer, bow down to us". Nope, I will not shop here. I went in, and walked around the drum area for about 30 minutes, and never was approached by a salesperson, so, I left with a negative impression. It seems to me that they don't need MY business. So, they won't get it."

"You're pretty much on your own here. If you're looking for keyboards, you're not going to find anything high end unless it's used. Low end digital pianos they have. Pro gear, not so much. They did look to have plenty of other gear on hand in the sound reinforcement area, but nothing mid or high end. The selection of guitars looked good, of course with a few high end selections. A good selection of stomp box effects. I mainly went by to get some patch cables. They had a decent selection, but in very limited quantity for most commonly used ones."

"Guitar Center in Knoxville is a wonderous yet filthy place. Inventory is fantastic!!!! This is the land of 1000 guitars! Yet unfortunately there is not one vacuum in the place. It’s 100 years since the carpet was cleaned. The staff was great! Kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. But for guitars and musical instruments only. They don’t seem to have knowledge in cleaning skills, like the vacuum, mop or windex. Now, I liked the store, however the bathroom was a mess. If you need to take the Browns to the Super Bowl, avoid the Guitar Center bathroom. I’m review: lots of great instruments, cool staff, dirty store."
