"First off, I want to call out how quickly Comfort Dental was able to accommodate me on such short notice for a really bad toothache that I had. I called a bunch of other places before and they had their reasons for not taking me up. Dr. Askari and team, were nice enough to take me up for a consult, lay out the options for treatment and then immediately do the extraction THE VERY SAME AFTERNOON. I have to say that I'm very anxious when dealing with dentists, and Dr. Askari was the nicest and most patient doctor I've seen. He was able to make me feel at ease and was very receptive to whatever I felt during the whole procedure. HIGHLY RECOMMEND, and thank you Dr. Askari :)"

"First: The Dentist did a great job, my complaint is with Billing and Office Management!! I was charged for a tooth extraction up front on my credit card as my insurance company wasn't available to confirm my coverage (weekend appointment). I had no problem with that having been told that they would send the bill for reimbursement to my insurance company. I followed up a few weeks later and was told they had not received any correspondence or money. A week later I left message offering to take care of dealing with the Insurance myself if they'd provide a detailed bill of services. I did not receive any answer. Instead I received a call another 5 weeks later to schedule a follow up visit. I returned their call telling them that I wasn't interested in another treatment as they had been unresponsive and I still hadn't received any reimbursement. The person on the phone checked my account and told me that I had a credit of $524 on my account. I asked what that credit was for and was told that they had received 4 weeks earlier my insurance reimbursement and decided to credit it to my account unbeknown to me. I got pretty upset and demanded a check for the amount in the mail. I was told at that time that she would pass it on to the Office Manager and have her send a check. Fast forward another 4 weeks and I call again. Same person answering telling me that they hadn't send a check as Office Manager had left for maternity leave and that she was the only one to be able to write a check. She told me that the Manager was expected back the next day and would call me to discuss the refund. I did indeed this time receive a call back from the Manager telling me that she was still on maternity leave and the Dentist was on vacation for for another 2.5 weeks and that they would mail a check end of November or early December. This is at that point 8-9 weeks after receiving insurance payment. I wonder how many other patients aren't aware of credits on their accounts."

"I used to enjoy going to the dentist until I started coming to Comfort Dental. It was close to my work so the location was just convenient but my experience there has been far from comfortable. I'm normally not one to leave bad reviews but I haven't been able to get any resolve with them directly either. I will start by saying before they treat you like a human and talk to you about what is going on with your teeth, the first thing they care about is securing payment. I needed to get a crown and paid $1680 out of pocket during my crown prep appointment, when I came back my tooth was in so much pain and they decided I actually needed a root canal, so I paid for root canal prep costing $329 to prep the tooth and treat the infection that started after the crown was initiated. When I came back for the root canal - they decided my tooth actually needed to be extracted. This wasn't even the issue - I paid over $2K in dental work and ended up just having the tooth extracted, which was covered under my new dental plan. I was told the $2K could be refunded to me by their Office Manager at the time or put toward an implant/future dental work. They still tried billing my dental insurance for work they did not end up doing (crown and root canal), while also keeping the $2k I paid that I requested a refund for with no response. I decide to go back for another crown that was needed and apply the funds to this procedure, which ending up being $880 out of pocket after my insurance which still left $1129 to be refunded to me. During this procedure - the dentist hit a nerve in my mouth/cheek while doing the numbing injection. I yelled out in pain as I felt a rush of intense burning through my entire face and he continued to inject. My vision went blurred for 3-4 minutes and he was visibly annoyed that this was delaying his work. No apologies or sympathy from the dentist, the assistants were panicked and he did nothing. After this last experience, I will never go back there for any dental work. I have anxiety going back to the dentist now even for a simple cleaning. I have followed up with their new office manager who was looking into my account ledger on the money due back to me, which should be $1129, since I will not be applying this to any future treatment there and have not heard back after multiple attempts to follow up. Take your business elsewhere."
