"Extremely Disappointing Stay at Fairfield Inn & Suites Murfreesboro As a dedicated Titanium Elite member with over 15 years of loyalty to Marriott, I am compelled to share my recent disheartening experience at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Murfreesboro. Having completed over 1,400 stays with Marriott, my expectations were high based on a history of exceptionally great experiences. Unfortunately, my stay in December with my family fell significantly short of those expectations at this hotel. During our stay, the temperatures plummeted below freezing; we were without a heater throughout the night. This was particularly challenging with a child. Adding to our discomfort, there was no hot water in the morning when we attempted to shower. I brought these issues to the attention of Courtney at the front desk, who noted my complaint along with my contact information. He assured me he would pass the concerns on to Shaylen Brown, the hotel manager. Regrettably, a week passed without any communication from Shaylen. Frustrated and seeking a resolution, I left two voicemails for her, only to receive no response. In a last attempt to address the issues, I completed the Marriott survey, hoping for a resolution to my concerns. To my dismay, the only response I received was an automated email from Shaylen, stating her intention to discuss my concerns further. Despite my prompt reply and subsequent follow-ups, I have still not received a call from Shaylen. It is disheartening to experience such a lack of responsiveness and accountability, especially as a long-standing and loyal customer. I strongly discourage others from choosing Fairfield Inn & Suites Murfreesboro for their stay. I sincerely hope Marriott takes this feedback seriously and addresses the service lapses at this hotel. As a loyal customer, I believe in the brand's commitment to excellence, and it’s a shame to see that this hotel is not living up to the Marriott standards."
"One-night stay to visit a family member in a nearby hospital. The hotel was conveniently located. Front desk clerk was very helpful at my late check-in. The hotel shows long-term neglect in routine cleaning of common areas and guest rooms. Both pool and fitness room are substandard,with some equipment inoperative and weights missing; pool empty and with trash in it (no “renovation” underway, notwithstanding the hand lettered sign). Furniture in the common area in the lobby looks as though it’s never been cleaned, though the fabric would sustain it. Parking lots and landscaped areas are ignored and unattractive. At the time I visited accumulated snow and ice made it risky walking to the entrance. This is well below the standard I’ve come to expect from Marriott properties. This is evidence of poor management supervision of housekeeping and neglect of general maintenance. Corporate needs to take a closer look at this leadership."
"Broken elevator, pool under construction, fitness room missing smaller weights (lightest one is 25 lbs), missing remote for tv. Of the 2 treadmills, one doesn't work and the other's incline is broken and the rubber is torn substantially on the tread....major tripping hazard. Rooms are clean and quiet though outdated."
"Very nice hotel and comfortable stay. Had a great night's rest. Wish we had better assistance at the hotel for a member discount. Seemed like they did not want to provide this service and made us feel like we should have asked for this before we arrived."
"Extremely disappointed with this gym. Only one out of two treadmills works, the elliptical is out of order, and the free weights, starting at 25 lbs, are scattered. There is sweat dripping down the machines and appear unsanitary. I sacrificed my vacation morning to work out, and the experience was far from satisfactory. Maintenance and cleanliness need urgent attention."
