Drury Inn & Suites Memphis Southaven

"This was my family and I’s first stay in Memphis and after trying to figure out where the safest area was we settled for this one. Once we arrived the outside was well kept and had a nice fence around the property. When we entered Tameka was the first employee we had contact with and I will say she was meant for the job. Her people skills are amazing. She made us feel very welcome and even shared a few laughs with my wife and I. The inside was clean and well kept and the rooms had very comfortable beds and all amenities were in good order. If you are traveling to Memphis and looking for a safe place to stay I would highly recommend this location. Well done Drury Hotels, Tameka and your crew. ! A great stay for us"

"Admittedly after reading some of the critical reviews I was a bit worried. However, after staying here it was clear that most of the reviews were either one offs or exaggerated. I had experienced excellent service from the front desk and from the staff. The room was spacious, clean, and well designed. I checked for bed bugs as well since a couple of reviews mentioned they spotted some, but I saw zero signs of bed bugs anywhere. The furniture is a bit outdated but they are kept clean and in nice shape so no worries for me. They also served free dinner and breakfast as well as 3 free alcoholic drinks per day. The food wasn’t anything to write home about but it’s good for hotel food (and it’s free). I will say the one complaint that is pretty valid is the loud road noise. I was up at the sixth floor and it was still pretty prominent through the night and in early morning. The beds are positioned as far away from the window as possible which helps, but if you are a light sleeper this may be an issue. However for the convenience of a good location just off the highway this is a valid trade off. A couple of other minor complaint from me are that the pillows weren’t really comfortable, no lotion was provided, and at dinner time the dining area echoed and got really loud which didn’t make for the most pleasant dining experience. I would definitely stay here again if I am ever passing through Memphis."

"This was our first time staying in a Drury Inn. We were very impressed with several things. First, with the soap dispensers, no single use plastic waste and same at the breakfast with metal eating utensils, not plastic. There’s room for improvement, but it’s a start. We didn’t arrive in time for the Kick Back, but it sounds great. Some of the chairs and furnishings need some updating and were worn out. Also, we have stayed in a lot of different hotel chains and the $50 pet fee is the highest I ever paid, that’s not pet friendly and for that reason, we won’t be back. Overall, everything was very clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was the usual fare, but nice and clean."

"The highways are frozen and this place is heaven. I love you Drury inn! The room is clean, no issues. Front desk associate was friendly and professional, the kick back in the evening is the best! I might actually start staying at every Drury Inn while I work over the road. I am so pleased with this chain. Highly recommend!!!!"

"We arrived and checked in around 8pm on Saturday night and the desk clerk was very cordial. Once we got into our room we found that the bathroom sink wouldn't drain. I notified the front desk clerk and she informed us that the maintenance man had already left for the evening and that he would be back first thing in the morning and would take care of it. She even offered to move us into another room. We chose to stay put and while we were eating breakfast the next morning (Christmas Eve) the maintenance man took care of the sink just as promised. The breakfast and evening kickback food was really good and the staff kept everything well stocked. They were also very friendly and accommodating even when they were working on Christmas eve and Christmas day. The room was a bit dated but was clean and the bed was comfortable. The great customer service and the evening kickback meal will definitely have us returning here when we visit Southaven again next year. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Drury to anyone."
