"Easy to get an appointment the same day which saved me an extra trip as the car was at a mechanic right down the road. Chris told me that since it just got a new battery I should ask the mechanic if it's "smog-ready" or does it need to be driven for a while first. Mechanic checked it out and it was indeed smog-ready. I would not have known to ask the mechanic and might have ended up failing the smog. Glad Chris knows his stuff and was looking out for his customer!"

"I purchased a used car in the Bay Area and went to Above All Smog in San Ramon to complete the ownership and registration transfer process. The car did not pass. The owner took the time to make sure he understood why it didn't pass, informing me that there was a hole in the exhaust pipe and that it was possible that not enough exhaust was making it to the O2 sensor to make it pass. He also told me it was the seller's legal and financial responsibility to make sure it passed. He was super helpful and informed me that the re-cert would be less than the initial fee. After the necessary work was done, I went back and spoke to the other owner. Both of these guys were super helpful and a pleasure to work with. This is a family-owned shop, which I wholly recommend."

"How to find this tucked away shop. It’s hard to find the shop. Google map will take you to the entrance of the industrial park where you will see a sign with the name of the shop and other business names (see photo). Turn into the main driveway and go to the end of the road where it dead ends. You must turn left. Then go all the way to the end of that driveway. The shop is the last garage in a row of automotive repair shops. Small shop, friendly service, quick turn around, clean waiting room and competitive prices. Well worth the effort to find them."
