SpringHill Suites by Marriott Memphis East/Galleria

"Location is good, rooms are okay, needs maintenance and updates, but my biggest complaint is that it advertises a nice heated pool, the pool is freezing cold and they said it can’t be heated. Hot tub closed. Fitness center closed. Not worth 25,000 points."

"We are frequent travelers and generally love staying at SpringHill suites. This property should not be affiliated with SpringHill suites by Marriott. We picked this property because of the location and amenities. I was extremely disappointed. The sofa bed/trundle was so old, dirty and disgusting we could not use it. There was no linens in the room for it anyway. The mattress looked so stained and dirty like it was the original mattress from 1985. The front desk was unable to move us but did supply bed linens so that my son could make a bed on top of the sofa. I left a message for the manager of the property who did not come in that weekend. However, the manager never reached back out to me. I attempted several times to contact, with no luck. The bathroom had mold and the complimentary breakfast was more than subpar. Most items were gone by 9:30am, with no attempt to restock. The king bed we did have was hard as a rock. Terrible nights sleep. The front desk employees were very kind and understanding, however they were unable to "do anything" without management approval. Management chose to ignore our issues and did nothing to fix the situation. Very unprofessional way of handling. I will never stay at this location again, nor will I recommend."

"Shower curtain is too short for the tub. Breakfast was late with dingy selections. Lobby and food area is dirty and uncared for. One non English speaking foreigner hurried around the breakfast bar. No one answers phone or man the lobby in the early morning hours. Elevator carpet is dirty. One of the side door cannot be opened with key card."

"We stayed here after visiting another location in another state. Poor service and horrible family trip. They reserved us a double bed suite. They gave our room away, tried to place our family next to the snow on the 1st floor.Then placed us in a room with no hot water. The facility has a water heater issue and problem with there boiler, yet didn't tell anyone prior to check-in. The laundry dryers weren't working, the spa was locked and they offered only Animal products for breakfast. Worst stay as a member hands down!! The manager wasn't available and the pour girl on night shift didn't know how to resolve after check in. The fact they charge full price and act like you get what you paid for is horrific. Pros: No bugs and the room thermostat had heat and electricity"
