"The smell in this place……. I can’t even describe to you. It is 100% a “hold your breath “ type place. Reeks of dried fish and ammonia. Butchers child about 3feet away from a blade that he is cutting bones with. Idk how this place has passed sterilization tests."

"I got the Jerk Chicken plate and it was great. I didn't shop at the store part but it was well organized and clean. The owner I assume was actually cleaning his equipment which is a great sign. They only serve Jamaican food now in tye restaurant portion which all looked great. It was actually cooked by a Jamaican man lol. The other places I've tried in Murfreesboro were not and you could tell. I'll definitely be back"

"I was getting a haircut at Nexgen when I noticed a something new had opened. Went to check it out and it is an African & Caribbean Grocery called Global Star Market that opened last week. I met the owner Abraham who is from Africa and has lived in Murfreesboro for 10 years now. He took some time to tell me about the grocery, the different foods they are offering, and how certain products are used…he was such a pleasure to talk to and learn from. It is always interesting to see how global food companies market different products and use interesting marketing terms…like Heinz calling a dressing “zingy” LOL. Go visit with Abraham, there are a lot of interesting products you could use in your own kitchen!"
