THE TENNESSEAN Hotel 531 Henley Street, Knoxville, TN 37902

"We were passing through and decided to stay in Knoxville for a night. Wonderful rooms and an exceptional location. However, the hotel placed us right next door to the restaurant on the second floor. When we first arrived to our room, we contemplated requesting to be moved, but we decided the noise wasn't too terribly bad. However, at about 10:30 p.m., we were awoken by the incredibly LOUD sounds of scooting chairs across the floor. The noise did not stop until the restaurant closed at 11. Upon checkout, I told a front desk associate that we were not happy about the noise. He dismissively said, "Well, you were next to a restaurant." No apology. Nothing. Family members will be scoping out Knoxville for retirement this fall. I told them if they stay at The Tennessean, they need to make sure their room is as far from the restaurant as possible. As for me, considering the response by the front desk associate, I may not stay at The Tennessean again. At a minimum, upon check-in, we should have been informed that our room was next to the restaurant, and, if possible, we should have been given the choice to stay in that particular room or go elsewhere."

"Just checked out and loved it. Best employees I have ever experienced. Valet, front desk, drawing room were all excellent. Top 5 hotel I have ever experienced. If you are in Knoxville you need to stay here. Great place!!!!"

"Staff was helpful and attending. They even offered to call an Uber if needed while I waited for my son. Beautiful restaurant. Very friendly. Wonderful lovely staff. Bed was extremely comfortable. One bit of advice. Please focus on the food being hot. Valet was amazing. Thank you."

"I wish I could give service 6 or 7 stars. Elizabeth was amazing helping me. I had an early doctors appointment downtown when Knoxville was undergoing a bad snow and ice storm. She was so accommodating and helpful. The hotel and room were very nice and clean. I would definitely stay again. I also enjoyed meeting Ed at the front desk. The whole experience was great. Super cool bar on the second floor. We didn’t go in but it was super quaint with nice decor."

"This was the second time we stayed at the Tennessean Hotel and again it did not disappoint. Sarah at the front desk was super helpful at check in with whatever we needed. I called after booking because we had our dog with us and Sarah had a bed in the room for her when we arrived. The room was clean and spacious and the bathroom amenities were great. Dinner at the Drawing Room was just what we needed after a long day of driving. Knoxville has been our half way point while traveling to visit family and the Tennessean is where we’ll stay."
