"If I could give them 0 stars I would . The worst place for African American children . I can afford too stay in the area which mean no matter the race my son shouldn't have been treated different , they called me everyday and ask me too come get him then the BLACK director left a voicemail on my phone telling me how her stay doesn't get paid enough too be abused by my 3 YEAR OLD SON . How is a toddler abusing you. On his last day I pulled up and there they had him crawling on the floor with snot running from his nose into his mouth. THE WORSE DAYCARE EVER . If I can prepare a family now before going NO IS THE ANSWER"
"If I could give 10 stars I would. Absolutely love and miss LA Petite of Cordova. The teachers are fantastic, attentive and patient with the children AND parents. Admittedly, I was one of those who worried and questioned all the time and the director and teachers were always quick to take action where needed or provide reassurance. My toddler came home regularly show casing new things she learned and always talked about her teachers and friends. Mrs. Kenya and her staff are top notch providing structure, guidance and education to their babies. Even being short staffed at times didn't stop the quality of care and professionalism at the school."
"Our family absolutely love La Petite. We started La Petite Cordova in February 2021, before that our son was going to different daycare and we had terrible experience in our previous daycare. We are so happy with our decision of sending our son to La Petite. They have restored our faith and trust in early child development centers. The staff is very friendly, patient, caring, nurturing and kind to all kids and the facility is very clean. Director Ms. Johnson is a genuine lady and is always welcoming kids with warm smile. Our son loves his teacher’s Ms. Cleo and Ms. Shaunese, they are like family. The communication between teachers and parents is great and we love that we get pictures and updates throughout the day. They have a passion and genuine love for kids. Important thing that we noticed is that our son never got sick since he started going to this center, in his previous daycare he was sick with running nose almost every week. We absolutely recommend La Petite. Thank you."
"I removed my 3 year old daughter from this school due to them trying to continuously hint, diagnose and label her with a behavioral disorder. This was her first time ever in preschool in the midst of a pandemic and just became a big sister to a younger brother which can cause toddlers to misbehave due to the attention taken away from them. She had issues with saying no, hitting, and throwing things at times as well as not wanting to share. Those are all normal behaviors with a 3 year old toddler. Keep in kind that I continuously explained to them that that was not the case with her but the director and teachers continuously insisted something was wrong with her. Academically she is very very bright. Also, she doesn't display those type of problems at home with parents or grandparents. I was never allowed in the building due to the pandemic so I couldn't presently go visit and sit in to observe the environment and energy level provided towards my daughter. The camera systems have no sound and intermittent movements which is not sufficient for me. Keep in mind I am a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner student set to graduate in 3 months so I know the knowledge behind properly diagnosing children versus being non educated teachers not knowing the proper knowledge on normal toddler behavior. You must NEVER insist or attempt to hint on mental health disorders especially in 3 year olds. That is why and how we have so many of our babies on unnecessary medications and in these Psychiatric programs for no medical reasoning. Do your job is what it boils down to. My daughter can read an entire book. I say that to say she has to be placed somewhere where teachers have the highest education in early childhood education and can't just apply for a job to babysit children all day. Parents please advocate for your children and do your research before allowing anyone to label your child just because they don't want to work. Last but not least I consulted with her physician who has followed her since birth and she is perfectly fine and he stated to tell them if he had concerns he would let them know."
"My daughters were here for 4 1/2 years from infant room on. Couldn’t be happier. They treated my girls as if they were their own. I was able to go to work knowing they were in a safe environment. Great teachers and great staff. Loved that I was able to get updates and pictures. Communication was wonderful. Ms. Kenya and Ms Adrienne are the greatest!! My girls loved it and miss it!"
