"Started using JB mobile Detailing back around 2016/2017 and they were outstanding. I got an (mostly) annual executive (~$410 each time) detailing as well as ceramic coating job (~$2000 for an SUV). Myself and my colleagues/friends have spent thousands of dollars with JB Mobile Detailing. JB Mobile Detailing has started increasing their rates over the years, which is fine, however their service provided has been slipping ever since these increased rates have been implemented. Now they have a mandatory deposit of $75 - guessing because people were canceling? Up until my last service, they have corrected the mistakes made during the detailing. However, my last service was a complete NIGHTMARE and prompted this review. I had scheduled service back Aug 2022, however the detailer was over 30 minutes late. When scheduling the appointment, I made it clear my timing window was narrow, so they had to be on time. Due to the tardiness, I had to cancel. The owner, Jose, called me and was very reluctant to cancel and give me my deposit back, however in the end it was resolved and fully refunded. I rescheduled the Executive Detail ($410) job on Oct 5th 2022, again the detailer was 30 minutes late to our scheduled appointment, however my time table was not as strict so it was fine. I was told the job would include 2 people due to the complexity of the job (~3.5 to 4 hours), however only one showed up. The job was completed in ~1.5 hours, which was somewhat odd, but glad it was done. The time taken for the job now explains why it was so short. The job was just plain sloppy and terrible. All services on the Executive Detailing contract were CLEARLY NOT performed or performed quickly to get the job done fast. Tons of areas were missed as well as the detailer damaging the clear coat of my vehicle (yes, there was a small cosmetic issue at first, but during the job it was blown open). I reached out immediately on October 5th as I have done in the past via text at first, with pictures as well as an explanation of the job being incomplete. Crickets from JB; straight ghosted. No reply, nothing. I called back the next day or two several times and only got an answer once, mentioning I would get a call back from Jose within a few hours to resolve the issue - that call never came. I texted back as a follow-up on October 6th and again on the 7th and nothing. A reply from Kate via text came though on October 17th stating “Please send the photo here and I will let Jose know about it immediately,” which was weird because I already sent all the photos on Oct 5th detailing everyone of my concerns. Later on Nov 6th JB texted me mentioning regarding my dispute they had refunded the August amount, which is true they did, but that was from the appointment I mentioned above where they were late - completely unrelated to the dispute I raised on the horrific job on the 5th. I replied to that message stating I was disputing the recent job in October, not August - JB ghosted me from there. My bank tried disputing it with JB Mobile Detailing several times, however they informed me Jose refused to refund any amount for the Oct 5th job and to try to reach back out to them again/post my concerns on socials to shed some light publicly on the matter in hopes of a resolution. I have photographic evidence of all conversations/phone calls between JB and myself to back up any statement listed above, but will not be posting them publicly for privacy concerns. The pictures of the job/damage will be posted to this review, however to see what a $410 Executive Detail gets you! So much for the claim on the front page of their website” Our commitment is your satisfaction first. 100% Guaranteed,” it’s unfortunately complete lies as they scammed me of completing the job to the specifications listed on their website, damaged my vehicle, ghosted my issue to resolve the issue amicably, and refused to work with my bank after the fact to get the money back. Be wary of the 5 star reviews you see here - it may be 5 star at first, but ultimately seems to lead to you to scam."
