"Don's Tire Service has an excellent team of repair guys and inside staff. I drove up with a very low tire (no appointment) and someone took a look right away. I waited in their comfortable waiting area for about a half hour. I enjoyed all the wacky signs & the jokes, so waiting wasn't a chore. They fixed my tire for $35 and I was on my way. Wonderful service!"

"I scheduled a 8am appointment to get my tires rotated and brakes inspected. They told me a 20-40 minute wait. Since my front door is so difficult to open I decided to wait by my vehicle to help open it. I waited until 8:50 before they started. After they began it took less than 15minutes for them to rotate my tires. Almost too fast? Furthermore later on that day I noticed my steering wheel would vibrate while turning meaning the tires were not balanced. Also the “Free” tire rotation was not free because I was changed $30 AND still have to get my tires balanced somewhere else. Every other time I’ve had my tires rotated, balancing is included. I would not recommend this place and will not be returning."

"Beware!!! I came here to check on my suspension because I was going on a road trip to Tahoe. Instead I was pushed by the receptionist to get an alignment. I didn't really need one but I decided to install wobble bolts that bought a while ago. But my main reason was to check my suspension since my car was making funny clicking noises between the speeds of 20-30mph. Any mechanic would notice that I have leaking around my CV boots and tell me that I might want to check my drive train especially since I take this vehicle off-roading. I ended up getting a second opinion from another mechanic in Sacramento and he suggested that I change the axle. I got one more opinion from my mechanic in Truckee and he said the same thing and we actually changed it. So unfortunately, after you change the driveline you need to get an alignment again. They already charged me $300+ for the alignment which I didn't need. I really needed a new front axle. So I called them on Tuesday and I explained the situation and they said they would give an alignment over the phone. I arrive today and they totally said that I had to pay for an alignment because I got the front axle installed somewhere else. I wasn't trying to get a free alignment. I was an unhappy customer because my car was unsafe to drive and they didn't help me with my concerns. Instead they just offered the same service they give to everyone. So take note: only go here for basic alignment needs. They can't handle anything else. I told them straight up that I was an unhappy customer and they didn't do anything to resolve that issue. I think they have great mechanics, but their management and customer service needs work! Please go else where if you're looking for good customer service and more custom work. I will not be back!"
