"I came here today on. Sunday afternoon around 11:30am and the wait was about 20 min which isn't bad considering it's a holiday weekend. The only thing pleasant about the service here was the host and she was the only person that I felt care about giving any type of customer service here. Once we were sat, we waited about 15 min before the host actually came back and we had to ask her if we even had a server. She took our order and then finally the server came by. We received our food fairly quick but had to ask twice for water and sauces. We ordered congee but weren't even given spoons. Now I understand if this was some run down dim sum place with super cheap prices but you are paying a premium for almost no service in an area that caters to better quality. The small dishes are around $5.50 and the medium plates are $8.50 and large plates are about $10.50. So 4 pieces of shumai and 3 pieces of dumplings for $8.50. Fine but give me better options for sauces besides plain soy sauce and basic rooster sauce in a plastic container. The restaurant ambience itself was actually very nice and food was actually really good. If we got just a little better service or if the pricing was so overpriced, I would not have been so dissatisfied. The worst part was that they charged us $5.00 for tea that we never ordered so I pointed that out to the server. Without even saying a word he yanks the check away and drops a new one on the table without saying anything. I mean, do people know that you get better tips by just being nice???Ive worked in the restaurant business as a host, busier, server and bartender and have never been so rude to people. Anyways, I will have to find other dim sum places or drive further for something better."
"The food here arrives very quickly and their lava bun was very rich. Their fried manitou is a must try, served with condensed milk. The crispiness is just right with a chewy texture on the inside, complemented perfectly when dipped in the condensed milk. They also offer a variety of dim sum from shu mai to har gow. The wait can be long sometimes, however, but overall the food here is consistently good."
"The flavor deserve a 4.5 star. We ordered five dim sums, three salty dishes, three buns, all between good and exceptional. The honey brown sugar cake was an unexpected surprise, good and unique. The buns were well made crispy and flavoury. The price is decent, standard good quality dim sum price. Although service is poor because they are usually too busy."
"Extremely disappointed. We had a reservation for 7:30pm. Did not get seated until 8:15. Then food was not out until 9:30… are you serious?? I get that it’s lunar new year but I thought service would be better especially when the person on the phone who I made the the reservation for said “we want to take your order ahead of time to avoid any delays on the actual day”. Despite this message, we still waited a good hour and a half past our reservation for food to come out. That’s not to mention my constant reminder to the waiter asking for where the food was. I would ask once, two dishes come out, then we wait another hour, ask again, two more come out. At the end of the night, we just couldn’t wait anymore. We cut the bill and just paid for what was brought out and cancelled the rest. As an “apology”, they gave us complimentary sesame balls which the waiter claims are “very famous and delicious”. They are not. They are over fried and tasted like it had been sitting on the counter for hours. The fish was also very tiny for the size of the plate. By the way, this tiny fish costed $137…. The pork belly was all fat and no meat. The duck was too oily and not even hot. The tea was probably the best thing I had that night, which by the way they took away when I asked for a refill. To be waiting this long for food that looks and tastes like what I can order from a fast food wok place, it is not worth it and I’d rather go to even Panda Express then try this place again even on a regular non-holiday. Showing this display of service tells me even on a regular day, I would be getting the same type of service. The BUS BOY gave GREAT service. He was attentive to us and even tapped on the waiter for us. The bus boy deserves a promotion. He was a better waiter than anyone here. Will not be recommending this to anyone."
