"We went to Frankies last night to watch the US v Netherlands World Cup game. The food and the service were outstanding but we had to leave at half-time because it was so hot in the bar. It was 83 degrees (per the thermostat in front of us) and no AC or fans. Definitely not worth going to the bar just due to the heat. Will be ordering the food to go because it was so amazing! Will try the bar again in the winter."

"So we were randomly in town on our 5 yr wedding anniversary and came across Frankie’s on google. We were skeptical but my wife insisted we try it. THANK GOD WE DID! Frankie’s was awesome! Made you feel like you were at home. The regulars all became our friends, told us their history in the area & gave us tips. Food & drinks were also great! Now, I have to point out one specific person... The Bartender David! Talk about awesome! This guy took such great care of us. I can’t even describe his level of customer service, his hustle & his love for San Diego! He’s also an amazing photographer! The regulars said how did a couple from Philly find this little bar? It was because of 4 reviews on google, and hopefully we can help drive more ppl there! They always have the best games on & the conversations are great! Seriously, go check it out you won’t be disappointed! Please tell David his friends from Philly say hi!"

"12 beers on Tap and ice cold, with a good selection. The food was excellent, Carnitas was delicious and not dry. The owner Lisa was very nice and talked to us for a bit. This hidden little gem won't be hidden for long."
