Katsuya Brentwood

"We do love Katsuya and have been many times, but unfortunately there are always issues. When you make a reservation you shouldn't wait more than 10 minutes to be sat. When we come here, we always wait a while even with a reservation. Last time we specifically chose the dining room when making a reservation (the large space) and instead they sat us in the loud bar/lounge. We didn’t make a fuss, but this was extremely annoying because we wanted the better atmosphere. The food is always yummy but our server this time was also rude and it really ruined the experience. I do want to note that the food quality is always very good!! This is the only thing that brings us back. I really wish the restaurant would care more about the experience as a whole because it comes out to about $100 a head. For a cute night out, we still like it, but we just have low expectations for how we are treated…. and to be honest there are soooo many better spots in the area, we don't go much anymore!"

"Every time I come to LA I have to go to Katsuya for sushi! You have to start off with the spicy tuna crispy rice, they are better than any other I have had before! The corn crunch I my personal favorite, but the rock shrimp left me speechless. The watermelon mojito is the perfect cocktail pairing if you enjoy a light and refreshing drink. 10/10 would recommend you must try if you haven't already! - don’t forget the lychee martini"

"Good food, but the place is very open and the noise invades the whole room. Instead it was designed by Philippe Starck and you can see his hand and the 90s style."

"This is a good place to come on a date with your loved one. It's also a good place to eat and drink with your friends. The sushi and the fried rice are a must-order. I would skip the cheesecake. The Katsuya, Special Spicy Tuna, and Salmon Lemon are a must-order."

"Loved the food, the atmosphere is good, although a little loud, a little too early. The cocktails were unique and well put together. The service was a little slow at times, but they were very friendly and helpful. This is a great spot and we plan to return."
