"Helmsman is a great bar. However, the brand new manager himself let me in the back entrance with an outside beer, then no more than 5 minutes later, kicked me out for having the outside beer. He was kind but I felt I should've simply been asked to throw it away... maybe I'm wrong. Nonetheless, I left without any confrontation as requested. What was strange to me was the managers willingness to sacrifice our entire work events (30+ people) business over 1 outside beer. Again, I could just be wrong but due to this, we all ended up relocating across the street to Malarky's and had a great night."
"I watched the Super Bowl here, while enjoying delicious food, and a variety of helmsman crafted beers. They have a great turkey sandwich with avocado and sweet potato fries, I highly recommend."
"We stopped here after a long walk and the beers, the atmosphere, the service and the food all hit the mark. They have a great selection of beers and we were able to get two flights to try 8 of them. Great vegetarian and pescatarian options. The nachos were yum, the coconut shrimp were crunchy and hot and the vegan poke was a creative dish. Nice open spaces inside and out. Definitely recommended for a good meal in a chill place."
