"BEST PIZZA AROUND!!! They use a sweet sauce that is light and VERY tasty. Thinner style slices that are filling! I absolutely love this place. I've been coming since I was a kid. Only reason for the low score on the atmosphere is because they painted over all the cool artwork that made it a landmark! Reminds me of a bomb New York style slice! Definitely a must try when in balboa. ☆They also have soft serve ICECREAM cones that are bomb☆"

"So check it out this is one of my go to places for pizza. When it comes to pizza I like a New York style pizza not a Chicago style pizza. Not much flop! The crust is really good but I wish the undercarriage had a little more crunch. However, with that being said I eat the entire piece of pizza including the crust, it's that good. The sauce is great, I don't know what it is but the sauce is just awesome and what's funny is that I was in Chattanooga, TN recently and I got some pizza and I swear their sauce recipe was exactly the same as Pizza Pete's. I will write them a review as well. I can't remember the name of the place but I think it's called pizza Bros! Anyway, I talked to both owners and neither one of them has ever heard of the other, they both have a great sauce! The cheese is good, between the cheese and the pepperoni there's a lot of grease. I don't know what it is but I like it. However, I can nit lie, I have found myself along with my family and friends using a napkin and dabbing up some of the grease but still, I like it. The overall taste of this pizza is my favorite, would I buy it again absolutely yes, I absolutely will be back! Truth be told I have been coming here for 40 years, this again is my go to pizza place. They sell their pizza by the slice and of course by the pie. I love this place, my wife and kids love this place, if you have not been here I highly recommend you pay this place to visit. I'm giving this place FIVE STARS all the way and I will tell you that every pizza place I go to is either better than Pizza Pete's or it's not as good as Pizza Pete's!! This is what I compare all pizza to. For the record, if the crust had a little bit more crunch to it and maybe if there was a little less grease I would of scored this place as an 8.5 on the ONE BITE APP!! This pizza is Damn good!!"

"I had absolutely amazing service and food quality today. I had the two slice of pizza combo deal, about $10.75, I believe. Service was amazing and these slices were both not just great, but unbelievably good. I have had your hot dog in prior years, but I was not familiar with your pizza until today. When I visit Balboa next week again, you can guarantee I'll give you a visit again. Thank you!"

"Top quality pizza are served here. You can have just few slices of pizza if you want or you can order one complete pizza (which may be too much).Apart from Pizza,you will get interesting combination of ice cream here. But what I most liked here was root beer. It was just amazing. Very tasty root beer."

"The pizza was ok. The crust was a little bland, could use a little more flavor. Price for the size of it, was good. I received an indifferent service, no smile or interaction. But at least I didn't receive bad attitudes lol..."
