"Been coming here for awhile and it’s one of my favorite places in LA and top coffee shops. Food and pastries are amazing. Service is wonderful. Cute corner spot and good seating. Parking is decent to find. Sandwiches are killers. Drink prices reasonable and great variety of cool wines. An absolute gem."
"UPDATED 1/16/2024 Having gone back after its renovation I really love the look and aesthetic of the cafe. It’s cozy and well thought out. The design is great. Love the stools and wall trim. Nice to go fridges at the end of the long communal table and plenty of saying both inside and out in the patio. Still not that impressed with the coffee. The Little Ripper this time around tasted better than previously but lacked much flavor. I chose lavender again but barely there. Also got an ice lavender latte which did have a bit more lavender but it just did not taste all that good. Also tried some light bites. Sourdough toast with house made blueberry jam was delicious though I think a bit pricey for what it is. But it’s even more evident with the Fairy Bread. It’s a single slice of white bread with no crust and some butter and sprinkles. That’s it. I like that it seems like it’s a cultural treat, reminiscent of one’s childhood. But really made for the kids and charging $5 for it seemed too funny. Overall as much as I love the look and feel the coffee just hasn’t done much to get me to return for a third time. ————————————————————— Original 2023 Review Small little spot outside of the usual busy areas which is nice. But there’s no inside seating yet and just a few tables outside with a covered area that didn’t seem to be in use by most people for some reason. Was disappointed in their signature latte the Little Ripper. Tasted incredibly watered down I thought I was drinking tea. Would love to try again with one of the other options like the New Orleans chicory base one. But I was let down by this one so it’ll be a while before I head that way again."
"Such a cool coffee shop, even cooler dinner spot. I just moved to the area and I stopped by for a coffee and some breakfast, both of which were fantastic. Absolutely loved my latte. The Goldie Lox on sourdough was delicious and had such a good fresh taste to it. I found out that they do a dinner service and got reservation with some friends. They serve small shareable plates and it was such a fun experience to try a bunch of things while enjoying glasses of natural wine. My favorite dish was definitely The Duo which is a whipped feta dip and an herbed labneh dip. The labneh reminded me of a really good tzatziki. The Smoked Trout dip was also fantastic. They sprinkled it with lemon zest and that was phenomenal to pair with the buttered sourdough toast. Highly recommend this place to everyone. Can’t wait to come back"
"Really dope spot for the neighborhood. Quiet date night vibe and amazing service. Food was great, amazing wine selection. Thank you Nikki!"
"I was so happy to stumble across this Aussie-style cafe on our side of LA. The kids raised Down Under could have their Vegemite toast and real Fairy Bread on white bread for brekkie, while the adults could enjoy a smashed avo on sourdough, a breakfast sandwich, and bacon and eggs. Something for everyone. Be warned that Americans used to super sized portions might want to add extra bacons and eggs, and Aussies who love their Vegemite might want to ask for a generous helping of the black stuff."
