"The Cacio e Pepe pizza was the best of the 3 I tried. The vodka pizza was not that good, was very pesto-forward somehow. The Margherita was alrite as well, very greasy. Service was very good! Parking of course sucks lol"
"Pizzana has a lot of positive reviews and we were really excited to try it out. We got the Cacio E Pepe which seemed to be their house signature pizza according to their website. The slow dough which is fermented for 2 days was chewy in the best possible way, but the parmigiano crema with cracked black pepper tasted a bit too much like a standard cream cheese to be put on a bagel. We'll have to try the Neo Margherita next time. Service was very cordial. The atmosphere has dim lighting and felt very cozy, especially with the pizza oven in full view"
"Service was very good. The cheese and seasoning for the caprese was excellent, however the tomatoes tasted like they'd been in a very cold fridge for too long so they'd lost their flavor. The pizza ingredients tasted like there was good quality, however the seasoning and crust flavor was a bit bland. San Marzano tomatoes are the gold standard in sauces but they need good seasoning to showcase their flavor. A whisper of red pepper works wonders on the palate. They probably processed well over 100 to-go pizzas while we were there, so their pizza is clearly popular with locals. For me, pizza is the ultimate meal and while this meal had quality ingredients, it tasted rushed and as if the chef that created it wasn't there to watch over the details."
"Reservations are recommended and glad we did. We had a great experience and the food was amazing. We saw pizzana on an episode of the chef show on Netflix and has been on our to eat list for a while. When we were in La in August for the Metallica concert we booked a reservation 24hrs in advance. We tried 4 pizza's ( 4 of us)! And 3 appetizers plus the Cesar salad. Everything we tried was so good. Including the bianca which was a 2nd choice cuz they didn't have the one I wanted to try. But it was so good. I'm not big on fennel. In fact none of us really are but we all loved it! And I'd definitely get it again. Can't wait to go again. The chef says they are going to update the menu soon so we will be back for that for sure!!"
"Ehhhh, vastly overrated… service was a little slow but friendly all the same. Pizzas came out fresh but it was as if the cheese had been sitting there for 30 minutes since it wasn’t wet at all on the funghi pizza… when you go to a pizza spot and the Cesar salad that costa less than $2 to make is the best part except that salad is priced at $18… was gonna put this as a 3 star but 2 star seems more fitting, their are far better pizza spots than this… avoid it"
